Removing my fangs from Erin's delicate neck, I rest my forehead against the door. My heart was pounding as I took deep breaths to try and calm myself. Not only was this human absolutely delicious, but damn that was a huge turn on. I now found myself wanting more of him, and I don't mean his blood.
"Does." Erin paused to catch his breath, his fingers tracing the two bite marks now on his neck. "Does it always feel like that?" He asked in a soft shy whisper, as his cheeks flushed pink. His body quivered as his back leaned against my chest, his breathing heavy as he tried to take in what just happened.
Oh how I want to officially make him mine for eternity. Never once did I imagine I would find a human who enjoyed the feeling of me drinking their blood.
"No, it only felt that way because you are my mate. That is the first step of creating our eternal bond."
"Our e-eternal bond?" Erin whispered quietly.
Finally removing my hands from his smaller body, I step away from him. Though I very much regret this action the moment I do this. Looking at him, I held my hand out to him, I wanted to see if he felt the same way. He glanced at my hand and instantly placed his in mine, as I led him to my bed where we sat down.
"Once a vampire finds his mate, they make an eternal mating bond to one another. A bond that ties both souls together, once formed it can never be broken." I watched Erin look to our hands that were still together, as he shyly bit his lower lip.
"How is that bond created?"
"It's a simple ritual. First I would drink your blood. Then in return you would willingly have to drink my own blood." His head snapped up, as we gazed into one another's eyes.
"T-then what?"
"Then our bond as eternal mates is created. I have been told that there is nothing stronger than this very bond. If we were to create it together, we would find ourselves inseparable. I would be able to sense if you were in trouble or hurt, even if I was not with you."
"But creating that with me, wouldn't in the end you lose me?" He whispered as he gazed up at me. "I mean I am human, I will age and die, even if I am your mate."
Shaking my head a deep chuckle escapes my lips. "No, once the bond is formed you wouldn't age another day."
Erin blinked his eyes. "So I would become a vampire?"
"No Erin, you would remain fully human. But with my vampire blood in your veins, you would take on an immortal life. You would remain as you are now, and you would not rely on human blood to live, unlike myself. We would live eternity together."
Erin gulped nervously as he looked down at our hands. "That is asking a lot from me." He pulled his hand free from mine, as he stood up quickly. "I don't know if I want this."
"No human would ever want to be with a monster."
"Drake." He turned to gaze at me, I stared at his still muddy covered form. "I don't see you as a monster." His green eyes softly gazed upon me. "What would happen to you, if we didn't create this bone? Would you eventually choose another mate?"
"Sadly for a vampire, they are only destined for one mate. IF you were to refuse my love, well some vampires have been known to end up killing themselves. That is the only way to not think of them constantly."
"Right." He laughed weakly. "So no pressure then?"
"I know you are afraid Erin. And I can't force you to be my mate. You alone must willingly drink my blood, on your own free will and want that life with me."
