You woke up on the ground. Around you everything was white. You didn't know if it was just plain snow or ashes.

You sat up, feeling sluggish. You held one of your hands up to your forehead.

"Damn, this headache is killin' me."

"You did sleep for a few months." Mia came up behind you.

"So, you were watching over me? But you didn't have the courtesy to bring me inside?"

"What are you talking about? You are inside." True enough, remains of a wall were scattered around you. "There isn't much more of a 'inside' around here."

"Where exactly is here? Where are the others?"

"I can't vouch for Zeke, but Zach ran away. Or, more accurately, he followed Blake. Who ran. Everyone else is probably at their homes. I know that Weiss is." You stiffened at the mention of Zeke.

"So... did everyone make it."

"..." Mia kept her stare at you and took a deep breath. "Yang lost an arm. Zach's eye got seriously wounded, but it'll heal. And Pyrrha... she's gone."

"N-No... this is all my fault... wait, how long was i asleep!?"

"I wouldn't call it 'asleep', more like... you were mentally not there. You barely breathed, and your wounds healed a few months ago. About five to six months."

"Oh! He's awake!" You turned around at the voice.

Behind you, a boy with long white hair and red eyes looked at you with a bright smile. The special thing, however, was that the was a metal plate instead a stomach.

"Wha... Zeke!? How? You lost so much... so much..."

"Blood? Yeah, I would've died. But, luckily, the Bloodmoon came to the aid. I didn't see him, but it sounded cool!" Zeke eyes widened.

"The Blodmoon purified his blood and put as much as possible back into his body. When he was done, he pulled out a medical device and implanted it into Zeke's stomach. He said it'll replace his vital organs which were lost. He then left." Mia explained.

"Damn... I'm sorry Zeke. If I wouldn't have gotten so cocky you wouldn't have gotten hurt."

"Don't worry Cap'n, I should've been more careful... besides, you were soooooo frigging awesome!" His eyes turned into stars. "You were all like 'kapow' and 'Kablam', 'I'm not that kid anymore!' and Pizza was all like 'Blaaaargh, now I'm just an olive pizza!'" Zeke gestured with his arms frantically.

You sighed at his antics. You turned toward Mia. "So... what now?"

"Your choice, you're the captain now."

"When did that happen?"

"Well, Sol is gone. And Zacharias ran, he was the second in command. Now that they're both gone, only you're left."

"I'm not even part of your team."

"No, you are!" Zeke intervened. "You are part of team RWBY, NVRM AND JNPR! So, we decided, since we are obviously your favorite team (and the only one here) you'll be our leader!"

You sighed. "Alright, Alright. Now... what, uhhh... what are the options?"

Mia took out her scroll. "We could go looking for Zach, but..."

"We don't even know where they went, so that ain't happenin'" You finished.

"We could go to Atlas, but they closed their borders. No one comes in without the general's approval."

"So, that leaves..?"

"Haven academy."

"Oh, yeah, that makes-... what?"

"Well, Bloodmoon said that he'll be heading there. He said that he fears that it'll be attacked next. So, we could meet up with him. Also..."

"Also what, Mia?"

"The village Zeke and i come from is there. There is a blacksmith, and a tailor. And from the look of things, we'll need both." Mia took out her whip, which was on the verge of falling apart.

Admittedly, you all looked rough. Your entire upper body was exposed, your pants were nearly black from all the fire, and almost all of your weapons were busted. The fabric you ripped of your cape was still wrapped tightly around your arm, but it now had a red color, fading into white at the ends.

Mia's outfit was not better. The right leg of her pants was almost completely gone, and her chest was only covered by a black cloth, which was probably her cape.

Zeke had his outfit mostly in tact, except for a gaping hole in the middle. His daggers had cracks in them.

"Alright then." You stood up and stretched. "What'cha sayin' if we head 'home'?"

Zeke pumped his hand into the air. "Yeah!"

Mia only showed a faint smile.

You picked up all your belongings, before rejoining them. "Let's get going then."

Mia led the way, knowing the direction thanks to her memory... and her scroll, which had the map of remnant on it.

And so, a new journey started for you three. One, that was filled with more action than you knew.
