Taraji's POV

Thursday

Can we talk

We met up at the park. I stood up when I saw him coming. I sat back down when he got there.

"Hey." "Hey." "I'm sorry for what I said the other day." "Don't be Carl I was being rude and immature." "We both were." "No you were just trying to help and I didn't want to hear it so I was being rude and blew up over nothing."

"I still want to apologize. What you do with your life is all your decision I'm not a part of it and you're right I'm not your dad so I'm gonna stop trying to boss you around." "I still want you to look out for me." "I will."

I got up and hugged him then we went our separate ways.

Friday

I was running around the house trying to make sure everything was right. "Can you put your stuff away?" "It is away." "No it's just sitting out in the open." "Where else am I supposed to put it?" "Not right here." "Okay stop freaking out about it." "I'm not freaking out about anything." "Yes you are."

"Fine leave it there. I'm done picking up after you." I dropped the stuff and stormed off. I slammed my door behind me. I slid down the door and sat on the floor with my head in my hands.

He knocked on the door. "I'm sorry okay. I know how much today means to you so I'll get my stuff together and I'll help you pick up okay." "Okay." I got up and opened the door. "I need you to calm down and stop worrying so much okay." I nodded. He pulled me in. "Come here." He hugged me and I laughed.

"Come on we only have a few hours minus everytime you're going to freak out." I hit his chest. "Fuck you, Tyler." I walked past him down the stairs. "What it's true." He followed me and I flipped him off.

He started picking up the living room and I went to do the kitchen. There was a knock on the door. "I got it!" I walked into the living room and saw it was my grandma.

"Hi." I hugged her. "Hey baby." I pulled away and Tyler took her bags and stuff. "What are you doing here so early?" "I need to help you." "With what?" "You forgot." "About what?" "I told you I was gonna get you some outfits to wear for today." "Oh yeah."

"I'm cleaning right now but we should be done in a few minutes." I looked back at Tyler. "Yeah." She looked at him then back at me. "Okay. Where is your mother?" "Not here." "I didn't ask where she wasn't I asked where she is." "I don't know." She rolled her eyes and sat down on the couch. "Did you want some water or something?"

She held up a bottle of orange pop. "I'm good." "Okay." We finished picking up and we went upstairs to my room. "I've got three for you to try on." "Okay." She handed me the first one and Debbie walked in. "Am I late?" "Almost, sit down."

^^first two outfits above^^
I walked into the bathroom and unzipped the bag it was in and saw it was a turtle neck. I retched but still put it on. I looked in the mirror and saw it was see through and looked very casual. I walked out of the bathroom to show them.

"It's see through," my grandma said. "I know." "It looks very casual and don't you not like turtle necks." "Yeah." "Oh, well I didn't know." "It's okay." I grabbed the next one and went into the bathroom.

I put it on and tried to zip it up but it didn't go up all the way. I stepped out. "Can you help me?" She got up and pulled at the zipper. It went up some then didn't I sucked it in as much as I could and after a few tugs it finally zipped.

"How do you feel?" Debbie asked. "I can't breath." "Girl stop playing and breath," my grandma said. I let it out and the zipper went down. "I mean it's cute I just can't fit it unless I'm not breathing." "I had a feeling this one wasn't gonna fit cause it was the first one I bought and I didn't know your size." "It's okay." "Go try the other one on."
