CHAPTER 14

Nicole's POV
I wake up in a strange room,my head is pounding really hard and that's when the previous events start flowing in my head. " So who is this stranger that saved my ass from Dwain" I ask myself and speaking of Dwain I already him,I don't think I want to see him again ,I love his sister but he just ruined the little respect I had for him.
I look around in the room ,and I'm lost of words to describe everything that's in my view right now. The room is magnificent,the bed is placed just in the middle of the room at the bedside table there's a glass and some pills ,I assume they're mine but right now I don't even trust myself so I wont take that. I walk to the window and take view outside. The window is just straight across from the driveway. I can spot different types of vehicles, Bugatti, Ferrari, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and other cars the guy is really rich,owning all those kind of vehicles is no joke unlike me who has nothing but uses buses, matatus as a means if transport.
I hear footsteps approaching the door and I immediately go back to bed,face the other side of the wall and stare in space.
The stranger walks in and I take the cue to look at him.
What I see takes me by surprise,my fucking boss is standing in the door way I'm lost of words to explain myself to him so I mumble a sorry to him.
He gives me the pills and tells me to take them,directs my to the shower and shows me what to wear,his sweatpants I guess unless he's seeing another woman who might have left her sweatpants in the guest room. From what I have gathered, the guy is single , because if he had a wife I don't think he could've brought me over to his Mansion.
So after breakfast he offers to take me to my place. On the way the only thing ringing in my head is how I'm gonna explain everything to Maya she'll be mad at me I know but it won't take long before she finally forgives me.
It's already 11am when we reach at my place, Kyle parks his car just outside our house and offers to walk me to the house.
I knock twice and Maya appears on the door way I expect her to scold at me but she takes me by surprise when she hugs me so tightly.
" Hey girl you had me worried I even thought you were kidnapped thank God you're finally here" she sobs on my shoulders. Maya is so emotional she cries even at small situations so I have to assure her that I'm okay.
" Relax Maya, I'm back in one piece,we thank God, is Caren in?"
"No I never saw her I'm just alone ,I was sick worried about you ,you know you left your phone with me so I had no means of communicating with me.
Kyle clears his throat and that's when it hits me we were so engrossed in our conversation that I forgot I had company.
" Ooh I almost forgot I had company , Mr Parker meet Maya,she's my flatmate and my best friend,Maya this is Mr Parker my boss and the one who saved me yesterday"
"It's nice to meet you Maya ,you can call me Kyle"
"Pleasure you too kyle"
" I guess I'll leave you guys ,I've something to attend to,see you on Monday Mrs Alison"
With that Kyle is gone and Maya turns back to me.
" You have to not given me full details of what happened yesterday, come on  let's head in I wanna know what happened to my sister and why you're wearing Kyle's sweatpants",she smiles wickedly at me

Once in the house ,I go in the details to tell Maya what exactly happened and not to forget about Dwain's case. By the time I'm done Maya is gritting her teeth.
" I'll kill that son of a bitch how dare he want to take advantage of you while you drunk,no wonder he was looking at you like he wanna rip off those clothes on you, I knew he had no good intentions" she says and I stare at her surprised.
" Why didn't you tell me,I could've avoided him?" I ask knowing she's not in the fault.
" We were all excited about the girl's night out and I forgot to mention it,I'm so sorry my dear"
" No stop it Maya,it's his fault not yours,he should not even step his feet in this house,I hate his guts already , unluckily his sister is my friend back at my work place"
Before Maya can answer ,there's a knock on the door and Maya stands to go get it.
After a few minutes I hear her shouting,
" Why do you want to see her and you wanted to rape her yesterday,and you still have the guts to stand on my door and ask for Nicole,you're a disgrace to manhood"she sneers at him
" I just want to tell her I'm sorry I was under the influence of alcohol please just understand me"he begs
" Keep the sorry to yourself and please get out of my house before I call the  cops on you"
Maya makes to close the door on his face and I take that chance to go face that sorry for a man
" Maya let him explain whatever he has ,I don't want him to keep on coming here in the name of saying sorry"
"Nicole I'm sorry please just forgive me,we can be friends that's if you into it" he says thinking I'm an idiot just to forget he almost raped me and forgive him"
" Well I heard your sorry and no I don't want to be friends with you,you're even lucky that your sister is my friend but please don't you ever set your foot on my door again, you suck" with that I close the door on his face before he can say anything.
