CHAPTER 55

I'm driving silently to my house, I don't have my phone with me so I have to get home before I call Jayden.

We agreed to meet up with the guys later and finalize with them about their payment and return of the rifles.

I'm already rushing in the house after I park my car in the drive way, I ring the bell and Maya opens the door

"Kyle please tell me Nicole is alive, we have been  waiting for you but we got no information so far"

" Maya I don't know what to tell you, I'm just confused and hurt"

" Wait you mean you didn't save Nicole, please just say you did" Shillah says and I look at her with a worried face

"Nooooh it can't be , tell me she's alive, tell me you saved her Kyle, why ain't you saying anything?"

Their questions are getting the better part of me and I swear my head is threatening to burst.

I've not confirmed if she's alive or dead but my instincts tell me that she's alive.

" Relax guys that's why I came here, we managed to kill all of them, by that I mean, Natalie Charlotte Denis and their gang"

" You mean mom was working hand in hand with Natalie, she gotta be kidding me I never thought she was that evil"

" I made sure I saved Nicole, although she had lost a lot of blood and seems she also lost the baby, she was given abortion pills, I made sure she is in good hands before I went back to kill those bitches, I left Cate with her"

" You mean Cate, our family doctor? And then what happened after that?"

Shillah asks anxiously and  I dread to tell them what Natalie said I've not yet confirmed but they can't let me go without knowing every detail.

"She was doing a first aid on her and Jayden was the one with the jet, when I went back to that Warehouse, Natalie told me that she paid Cate to kill Nicole, I'm not sure if she is dead and that's why I had to pass by here, I left my phone with you guys"

Maya bursts into tears and she starts crying bitterly, a lone tear falls from my eyes and torrents of them follow later, it just hit me hard that Nicole is dead.

" That motherfucker, she has been our family doctor for as long as I can remember why would she accept to kill that innocent girl, in so disappointed in her, I want to kill her with my bare hands" Shillah says in so much pain.

I take my phone from her and dial Jayden's number I want to here it from him because he is the last person I left Nicole with.

I place my phone on the coffee table after making sure it's on loudspeaker.

It rings twice before he picks up and we both wait anxiously

" Hello Jayden what happened?" I ask in anticipation

" Hello sir, in fact I was about to call you, you're needed at the hospital like right now"

" What do you mean by right now, is Nicole alive?"

" You just come to the hospital I'll explain ebery detail to you"

With that he hangs up and I pick up my phone and car keys ready to head out.

The girls give me that look and I know they don't want to be left behind.

I tuck my licensed gun just in case of anything and we both head out after making sure that door is closed behind us.

I drive at a higher speed and I don't care if the police will be after me or not, Nicole's health is the only thing that matters to me right now.

We're at our hospital after exactly fifteen minutes and I'm met by Jayden at the entrance he requests to speak with me and I give the girls a nod, I'll meet them at the reception.

After we're at a safer distance from the hospital I decide to ask him

" So tell me Jayden is my girl  still alive or what, just tell me the truth ,I'm a man and I can handle everything"

" Nicole is alive but she lost so much blood, gallons of blood were given to her but that's not enough ,they need a blood donor"

" Shit! You could have just told me that , they would have been working on that already"

" That's not all sir, I overheard Cate talking to Natalie over the phone before you brought her, but I didn't want to tell you because you'd freak out and that would have messed with our plan, I just let you go and I kept a watch on her the entire time before we reached at the hospital, so when Nicole was taken to  the emergency room, she accompanied them, because first she is your family doctor, I asked one of my friends to keep a watch on her and she was caught trying to disconnect the machines, we took her and we held her up at my place, I wanted you to tell me what to do with her"

I sigh and release the breathe I've been holding for a long time

" Well keep her for now untill I figure out what to do with her, meanwhile let me see what can be done to help Nicole, I'll give you a call once I'm done here"

" Okay sir"

And one more thing

He turns back and I walk towards him

" Thanks man, you don't know how much his means to me"

I give him a brotherly hug and he hugs me in return

" It's nothing sir, I did this for you , you've done so much to my family already"

I'm all smiles as I head back to the reception and the girls turn around to look at me waiting for the news I'm holding onto

" What happened, any good news?" They both ask in unison and I smile  back

" Guys Nicole is alive, Jayden saved her but there's only one problem remaining"

They hug me happily and I swear there's no time in life I've been this happy. I mean the live of my life is alive and that's some greet news to celebrate

" And what is the problem?"
