CHAPTER 38

Nicole's POV

After Kyle and Shillah leave to their Dad's I flip back on the couch I have a lot to catch up on before Maya comes by.

To say I'm happy is an understatement, Kyle has been sweet to me.

I'm falling for him day by day and I don't think I'll be able to do on my own without him.

He has been extra careful and loving ever since after the accident. I don't know why the police didn't try to get the other accomplice of Kevin's he was not alone, both Kyle and I know that.

When I asked him about it he just brushed it off saying Kevin was takes care of and I'm glad they killed that idiot, he was trying to meet with the wrong people, I'm not the one who told him to go cheat of his friend with his girlfriend, it was out of his own lust and disrespect in fact he deserves to rot in hell for all I care.

Thinking about that fateful day, we almost died but the police did nothing about it as if they were the victims, that lady , it's like I've seen her somewhere, although she might be lucky she had put on a dark hoodie and some cheap dark shades to  cover up her face but I'll soon get to know her.

I have been saving money ever since I got employed at Kyle's company, I have a lot of money enough to hire a private investigator and that's what I'll actually do, I won't let Kyle know but Maya is my long time best friend , I know shell support me in this ,she always does.

We have gotten along well with Shillah and she's like my younger sister ,we do everything together and she always finds time to tell me her childhood memories with Kyle of course and im loving her day by day. I don't how I'll survive without her once she's gone to study abroad.

Life has been super busy and good, Kyle provides everything, he buys me clothes, shoes, jeweleries and let me just say I'm lucky, my closet is full but he still insists on buying more.

He has been fueling my account with money, and something funny he has been paying me despite me not going to work, I tried to argue but he said he has money and he must spent it with the subject he adores and that's me.

We go for shopping almost every weekend and he tells me to choose whatever I want, I have lots of clothes I haven't even worn, beautiful  and expensive dinner dresses which in planning to give some to Maya, she has been like a sister to me and I think it's high time we started a business together, it'll be like a saving for the both of us.

Ryan dating Shillah was just some good news to me. I mean I have known Ryan for a while now . He used to visit his brother , Adrian, while we were still back in campus, he's a nice guy for Shillah I just hope when she flies to study abroad they'll still push because the look cute together.

I connect my phone to the house system and flip through my playlist, I choose my favorites which is Ciara's playlist.

" I bet" is the first song on the playlist so I choose it and click play, I adjust the volume and proceed upstairs to do some general cleaning.

I start with Shillah's room I change her beddings, proceed to change the curtains and mop her room.  I take her clothes out for washing and take them to the laundry room. I proceed to the other rooms and finally  to our room, I clean, arrange Kyle's clothes in his closet, dust his closet same to mine.

I take out our dirty clothes once I'm done cleaning the room and head to the laundry room.

Kyle had a washing machine,so washing doesn't prove to be a hard task. It takes me a few minutes to wash all the clothes and dry them clean. I proceed to iron Kyle's work suits and shirts and arrange them neatly in his closet.
As I'm busy arranging his clothes, I notice a small gold chain with my name on it and I smile to myself,I place it back to where I found it and proceed to Shillah's room, arrange her clothes and then head downstairs.

I dust the coaches, clean the living room, dining room and Kyle's study office. By the time I'm done with the kitchen and every other room, I'm super tired but I still have a meeting with Maya so I decide to  make lunch.

I decide to prepare spaghetti with meat. I make a meal for two because probably Maya is on her way here. I decide to call her to confirm

" Hey girl, I missed you, don't tell me you still at Adrian's"

" Hey too sweetheart, yes I'm on my way, I'm almost there, in fact I'm super hungry I hope you made something"

" Yeah I'm just finishing up , in fact lem just get the dishes ready"

" You know me better girl, hurry up your girl is famishing"

I laugh at that and hang up.

We're at the spa with Maya, were both getting our hair and nails done. I  gave Maya those clothes I thought I'll not use them and she was super excited.

It's our girls time and i decided to spoil her. We've been through with her and spending time here with her enjoying life is something I've been dreaming of.

I decide to talk to her about the Private investigator thing and she agrees with me. It's high time I got to know who is behind all the miseries we've been through.

Maya promises to link me with one of the Private investigators she happens to know so that we can have a talk on the issue and agree on the payment stuff.

We're at the Ice cream shop when her phone vibrates in her pocket when she talks, her brows creases and I know something is wrong.

" I'm sorry hunny but I have to go , mum is sick and I'm needed at home right now. I guess I see you later"  she gives me a side hug and runs off to take a cab to their home place.

There's nothing else to do, so I decide to head home and wait up for Kyle and Shillah.
