CHAPTER 47

" hey girl, you're glowing"

That's the first thing Maya says when I open the door for her and she pulls me into a tight hug

" So are you, Adrian is taking good care of you,from the look of the things"

I say and wink at her as I pull out of her hug.

" Don't even go there, he has been so sweet with me, and I hope Kyle is going the same, you glowing and I can your are widening too, sex I doing you good"

" What sex"

" Ooh don't even try denying honey, I know Kyle is a sex freak and you guys are doing it so don't deny"
 
When she says that, I imagine my Kyle and I blush profusely

" Ooh my God see who's blushing so tell me is that true?"

" C'mon Maya, I never ask you about your sex life, why are you so interested in mine"

" I wanna know because my sister here has finally opened up to a guy and accepted to give him the  preserved virginity, I'm happy for you Nicole, and I thank God Kyle is the best man for you, don't be shy you can talk to me you know"

Maya has always been the happy and joyous person I've never known, I talk freely to her about anything so I don't see any offense  sharing with her my sex life, although I'll save that for another day, we have a long day ahead.

" I'm not going to share that with you, not for now but maybe some other day, but just know Kyle is a great guy and I'm happy to have him"

" Okay, I surrender but to be sincere I'm happy for you girl and I pray that you have forever with him"

And she pulls me into a brief hug. We walk to the kitchen to fix something for us

It's already lunch time and we still have like two hours before we head to the park to meet up with Caren in the park.

I don't want to reveal anything to Maya , unless I'm sure and have gotten the whole information about their plan, and about Kyle, I guess I'll tell him in the evening after am back from me Njuguna's office.

Maya suggests we make rice and chicken and I'm in for the idea.

There's some chicken in the fridge so there's no need freaking , I help her make the chicken and leave for the shower after she's almost done.

After a few minutes I'm done and I'm heading downstairs.

We take our lunch while making stories and having fun. I'm munching on my steak, the chicken is actually delicious and I don't know why it's smell sound weird to me and I suddenly have the urge to throw up, I run to the washroom downstairs just across the kitchen and throw up in the toilet.

Maya follows me and gives me the concern look and I hope it's not what I'm thinking.

" Girl, since when did you start throwing up after eat chicken?"

" I don't know , of late I've been having weird mood swings and stupid cravings and now everything I used to like now sound weird"

I say as I rinse my mouth from the sink and Maya looks at me tentatively

" I think you're pregnant"

That catches me off guard and I give her the murderous look and but she holds her hands in surrender laughing hard

" Don't give me that look Nicky, I just presumed that you're pregnant, from the look of the things Its clear you having signs of an early pregnancy"

When she says that I remember the morning incident when I woke up early and threw up but Kyle didn't notice

" I'm scared I can't be pregnant , you know it can't just happen I'm not ready "

" We are not yet sure if you're pregnant , we'll pass by the pharmacy and buy a pregnancy test kit, we need to be sure, don't be scared, it might turn out negative, or maybe you might have  caught a cold ,so let's not conclude yet"

It's still 2pm so  we still have 1 hour before we go out so we decided to take some time having juice as we watch cartoons and catching up .

I've been having weird moods of late and stupid cravings and I don't know why,so when I go for straw berry yogurt Maya gives the 'wtf'  look and I stare  back at her

" Girl why do I have these feelings that maybe my observations were right, since when did you start taking strawberry yogurt, I thought you're a vanilla girl"

" Shut up Maya, can't someone just enjoy  herself, you know we can hate and love things at the same time, so right now I have a craving for strawberry yogurt"

She sighs in surrender and we continue having our yogurt in silence.

By 3 we're already hitting up on the road to the park.

We find Caren already there and we exchange pleasantries.

When I remember about her plans with Natalie,I swear I just want to snap that head off her neck but I have to control my emotions

We spread out a big shawl on the grass and we sit on it. We make stories and chat happily.

Since we're both full,we decided to go for ice cream as we chill.

We snap some pics together and watch people walking around. The park is quite full today so everyone seems busy.

At 5 , I excuse myself because I have to meet up with Mr Njuguna before the day ends and Maya suggests I drop her off to her place

I don't reveal to anyone about where I'm going because I don't trust Caren,so I tell them I need to rush home and help Shillah with something since she will be traveling in a few days time. She agrees so she takes a cab and we head out with Maya.

I drop her off at Adrian's and as I make to reverse the car and head to Njuguna's office, Strong hands cover my mouth from behind on the passenger's seats and my vision turns blurry, I overhear the stranger's voice say to someone I suppose the boss
" Yes I have her with me, let me bring her"

And those are the last words I hear before my eyes become heavy and I pass out.
