CHAPTER 19

**Business trip**
*Kyle*
The day is finally here,the day I'm supposed to go with Nicole to Ethiopia for the business  trip. I told her to book two seats,business class, I did the hotel book and I know she'll be surprised.
I booked one hotel room and organised for two beds since I know she won't accept to share a  bed with me, she'll be in for a big surprise
The week has been   a quiet one,we've not talked with Nicole ever since the incident in my office but I know she can't miss this day it's official  I'll pass by her apartment have and she's waiting for me.

After Natalie busted us in Kyle's office about to have sex, I  have been avoiding Kyle at all costs, we've not been meeting with him and I've not been taking lunch in his office either,
We've been in  silence and not talking to each other its been  awkward but I can't stand his eyes on me.
I mean this guy's makes me uncomfortable, not in a bad way but his presence makes my world remain on a standstill,with him I loose my memory,focus and everything else.

He makes me stomach churn and have butterflies, I miss his touch but I can't bring myself  telling him that, he's distanced himself from me and maybe that's a good move.

But at least he could've tried to explain to me about everything concerning Natalie,but he did nothing about it. I'm not his girlfriend so why I'm I even whining about it. So I just let it go. I told Maya about it and she said I give Kyle time and now that we going for the trip maybe we'll get time and a quiet place where we'll discuss everything.

It's Monday  morning, Maya already went to work but I didn't go because today's the day we going to Ethiopia, I've never been on a plane before  and I didn't even have the documents, money talks these days.
The documents were processed in a span of one week and now I have my travelling documents I'm happy now that the company will make me visit different places and all thanks to Kyle.
The mention of his name makes me have a twist in my pants, I jus realised I'm falling for my boss and now that he already confessed about him liking me ,I think my efforts will not be fruitless.

After Scott I swore never to date but Kyle makes me have a different perception towards love, I feel like it's my first time falling in love ever since my existence.

By 7:45 I'm done packing and I'm dressed up in short floral dress and black ankle boots,I  went to salon on weekend and I'm in dark long braids, my make up is on point and my clothes for one week are nearly packed in one of my travelling bag, Maya made sure I carried everything.

Kyle told me to pack some swimming suits because we not going to spent one week in a meeting, we shall have some nice moments so I made sure I packed enough bikinis.

After 5 minutes, I hear a vehicle packing just outside my apartment door and I immediately know that's Kyle ,I walk up to the front door and as I step on the door, Kyle steps out of the car looking handsome in a navy blue business suit
" You look beautiful Nicole" is the first thing he tell me and I blush. Well don't get me wrong this guy makes my world stop so blushing is guaranteed.
"Thanks Mr Parker"
"Kyle,just call me Kyle, we not in my office , are you ready?"
" Yeah I'll just get my suitcase from the house"
"Ooh don't worry, Elvis will take care of that" he says and directs me to the car, today he came with his Bugatti . This guy is rich, he opens the door and I slide in ,I'm surprised when he slides beside me.
Once my suitcase is placed in the boot beside his we drive off to the airport, Jomo Kenyatta International  Airport is where we head, I gotten minutes drive from my apartment.
There's a pin drop silence back in our seats and thank God the driver's side is separated from us and he can't see us. The tension is something else before Kyle decides to break the silence.
" Nicole I'm sorry about the other day,the truth is that I like you so much and I just want you to consider me,I've been fighting this urge but this is strange to me, I want you to forgive me please it was not intentional, Natalie is just my childhood friend who happens to have a crush on me but I don't feel the same way about her , it's you I want"
That catches  me off guard but I just nod.
"Say something please,  forgive me Nicole ,I don't  want this trip be filled with tension I want us to enjoy"
"I forgive you Kyle but you have to promise me one thing, Natalie will not attack me again, I hate dramas and this thing of fighting over men"
" I promise" and with that he  holds my chin and brings my face towards him, with that he places his soft lips and on mine and I take all I can to kiss him back, the kiss is slow and sweet and I like it that way, I pull out before we can mess up
"I like you too Mr Parker" I say that to him and before he can answer me back, the driver's voice from the speaker brings us back to earth  from our little  world of fantasy.
"Mr Parker and Miss Alison, we're at the airport already"
Kyle groans and says "we shall finish whatever we started Nicole", he kisses me on the forehead and we step out.

I just can't believe that Kyle,my boss kissed me and to make matters even more worse,he says we'll finish whatever we started later,what does that mean? I'm I falling for this guy? Wait,is it the right thing or I'm i just being led with my feelings? I need to think straight lest i mess up and end up being hurt.
