CHAPTER 46

I don't know what is wrong with Caren and her team mate Natalie, I don't understand why they are too obsessive with me.

They both want Kyle , they should just go for him, I don't know why they opted to mess me up.

I know Caren likes Kyle but I never knew she'll be too obsessive with the " making my life a living hell " thing, she has money so I don't think she accepted the offer because of man but she wants me away from Kyle.

It has been one week ever since we went for lunch with Caren, I nowadays take my lunch with Kyle in his office ,his suggestion though not mine. Although I still talk to Caren I don't want her doubting me , I should strike before they strike.

Kyle left to meet his friend in town and because I had nothing else to do, I decided to call the girls and see if we can meet up and go out today.

Just outdoors , Maya suggested we should just chill in park, I agreed with her and so I decided to tag along Caren, I told her I trust her so I should also trust her on our schedules and plans.

Maya is to come over so we head out together in my car while we're to meet Caren at the pack since her apartment is close to the park.

Just then my phone vibrates from the table ,I still have a few minutes before Maya comes over so I walk to the coffee table and pick it,  the private investigator's name flash in the screen and I'm so sure he found out something, I press the receive button and place the phone on my ear

" Hello Miss Alison?"

"Hello Mr Njuguna, any information on the case so far?" I ask in anticipation

" Yeah, in fact that's why I called you today, I just found out that, Natalie and Caren, your workmate are working together, and they're planning on something so be careful around her"

" I guessed right because of late she has been asking me random and weird questions"

" I hope you have been extra careful around her though, if they realise you know their plan they'll execute their plan as soon as possible, so as I still check on what they're up to, don't trust her with anything, I think by today, I'll hand you the whole information about their plan ,I just send one of my men to track Natalie down and see what she's up to ,I'm sure by today, I'll give you the whole information"

" Ooh that's great of you, I appreciate your efforts"

" That's why i get paid, to do this, and another thing before I forget, you know Charlotte? "

" Charlotte, as in Kyle's mum , what about her?"

" She is Natalie's accomplice too, they worked together with her and another guy by the name Kevin, I searched about him but my efforts hit a dead end"

When he says that, the energy I had drains and I remain standing on the same spot, I mean why will Kyle mum hate me to the extend of wanting me dead? I ask myself and I don't know I said it loud.

" Yeah, she wanted you dead, that's what I was going to tell you" he says and I groan

" You mean I said that loud?" I ask and he agrees, I give him  a go ahead

" So , Kevin was Kyle's friend when still in campus, Kyle's girlfriend cheated on him with Kevin and he dumped the both of them, Chloe later dumped Kevin and he remained all alone, he had lost his friends so he lived in regrets but as time went by he got obsessed with revenging on Kyle, he made a decision to be messing up with Kyle's girlfriends as in rape them so Kyle won't see them any valuable, he wanted him miserable, when you guys went to Ethiopia he was in a hotel room just on the other floor from yours , when he  over heard you guys arguing, he knew that would be the best time to strike and you happened to overreact so he followed you , he wanted to rape you and beat you up to death but Kyle intervened and saved you"

" Wooah that's interesting to hear, go ahead "

" So that's where Natalie comes in ,he helped him escape jail, and promised to help him revenge, they were in the car both of them, the car that pushed you off the road, they wanted you guys dead, Natalie wanted Kyle dead too because he seemed not to like her even if she seduced him, but that wasn't Charlotte's plan, she got mad at them but there's nothing she could do to Natalie, since she was seeing her dad and Natalie threatened to reveal the secret, so when Kevin flew out of the country, Charlotte tracked him down and brought him back in the country, she handed him over to your father in law's guys and that's how Kevin was killed"

The revelation is getting the better part of me and I swear I don't have any energy remaining so I sit down on the couch as Mr Njuguna continues with his revelation

" Natalie laid down for a while thinking of what to and that's when Charlotte was caught off guard with Daniel, Natalie's dad, she was divorced and Natalie could no longer black mail her, Charlotte hated you since day one, she met up  with Natalie and they decided to haunt you, to give you no peace with Kyle, when Charlotte mentioned to her that she wanted her with her son, she got too obsessed with the idea and that's why she's doing everything possible to see you out of her way, using Charlotte's help of course"

" What, that is ridiculous, but I can't imagine , Charlotte being part of this, thanks Mr Njuguna I guess I'll see you today at your office ,I need the whole information about their plan and strike before they can think of accomplishing anything"

After that he hangs up and I release the breathe I've been holding for long ,just then the  door bell rings and I stand up to go see who's at the door.
