CHAPTER 29

The drive to Kyle's house is a silent one. No one talks and everybody is lost in his/her own thoughts

Our hands are intertwined throughout the journey assuring me that everything we'll be fine.

We are at his place by 11pm, I'm not in the mood for anything but for Kyle he gets what he wants.
He opens the passenger's door for me and helps me out, he carries my heels and handbag in one hand and offers me the other hand.

I gladly take it and we walk silently in the house, this is my second time being here, save for the fact that the other time I had passed out and I didn't observe and scan the environment

It's late at night and I guess I'll have the whole day tomorrow to scan this beautiful mansion.
Kyle walks me to the couch and helps me sit down, he offers me water and I just nod in agreement.

He comes back with two glasses of cold juice and and another glass of water, he sets them on the table and proceeds to stare at me.

" Baby I'm so sorry for what happened back at my folk's house" he gives me that pitiful look and I don't like it, I usually cry if someone sympathizes with me.

" It's okay Kyle , don't bother yourself, I'm fine"

" You ain't fine I know baby but don't let this affect us, I love you and no one or nothing is going to separate or change the fact that I love you, I wanna spent the rest of my life with you "

When he says that,I'm a little bit surprised and happy at the same time, I can't believe he wanna spent the rest of his life with me, marriage is something I never thought of and now that we love each other and he's willing to have forever with me.

I love him and that's all that matters now,the problem comes in where his mom hates my guts and I've seen it happen,not only in movies and soaps but in real life where a guys refuses to marry a girl he loves just to pleas his mom reason being the mom hates the guts of that innocent lady who's just but a victim of love. I only hope it doesn't happen to me.

I'm lost in my own thoughts that I don't even realize that Kyle is talking to me until he taps me

I had actually zoned out." Baby what's wrong say something please"

"I'm so sorry babe, I was just lost in my own thoughts,I love you Kyle, we both know that, I'm willing to do anything to keep you by my side but the problem is your mom"
" I'm not with you because of your money, I'm with you because I love you and when two souls are in love,they do anything possible to see their way out,to see the success of their relationship and you've heard people say love conquers, your mom now hates me ,how can I be with you if she doesn't acknowledge my presence but disapproves it?" He looks at me with pleading eyes and places his hands on my laps ,moves close to me and says
" I know my mum hates you, reasons well known to herself, but I love you that's all that matters I'll do anything possible babe, I want to wake up and sleep next to you every other day of my life, you're the girl of my dreams Nicole , I love you and my mother won't change that, trust me"

When he says that I get the reassurance that he loves me and that's all that matters right now not the fact that his mum hates my guts.

I'm surprised in most of the occasions, he would have sided with his mother to please him so that he doesn't have to be cursed by his mom in the name of disrespect

" It's okay Kyle, I get it and thanks for everything but don't you think it'll be disrespectful of you to your mum by you not heeding to what she wants? I guess you know by now whom she wants you to date, it was clear when she said she prefers Natalie to me"

" Nicole, those are my mother's thoughts and decisions not mine, in as much as I respect her but when it comes to matters concerning choices in life, especially if it involves a lifetime partner choice, my mother is not guaranteed to helping me choose she's just to bless me and not choose for me"

" It's okay Kyle just know I care about you,about us and nothing will change the fact I love you immensely"

" And I love you too Nicole,so much as a matter of fact"

When I get the assurance of his love for me, I promise to keep fighting for us and to see us succeed at the of the day, it's us that matters and not them.

We watch for a while before we head upstairs

It's almost midnight when we both settle down on the bed ready to sleep, Kyle insisted I sleep with him in his bedroom and I didn't see a big deal into it , despite we've shared a bed before when we were back in Ethiopia.

He wraps his arms around my waist  and moves me close to him so that my butt touches his crotch,  he  moves his head close to my neck and I can feel his breathe around my neck

That makes me feel better and protected  I can't help but feel butterflies in my stomach, he makes me so hot despite the fact that the room is moderately warm.

He realises my uncomfortable movements, so he turns me so I'm facing him, he starts caressing me and a kiss follows

We end up making love before we retire to bed late and exhausted.

I can't deny,Kyle is the best person I've ever come across,he handled me a lot of care as if  I was some kind of an egg. Made sure I came several times before he finally let me go,i was feeling exhausted and tired by the time we were done.

As if that was not enough he's taken me to shower, we've showered together and he changed the sheets and spread clean ones.

As sleep finally comes through, I sleep knowing I finally found the one and I'll do anything to keep him.
