DESTINED

CHAPTER 16

When I drive Nicole to her place, I realize she's a quiet lady,we drive in silence and I guess she uses the other fierce side of her to attack people and for her defense mechanism.
She's a troubled soul very naive she seems to have gone through a lot gauging from the way she's carrying herself I was attending psychology classes while back in college and I got one or two tricks and that's what I use to study her.
They live in a simple apartment,I didn't expect to see a mansion anyway but thank God it's not in the ghetto sided of Nairobi.
I watch the two friends exchange hugs and I smile at the kind of friendship these two people hold they must be loving each other and I wish Kevin never betrayed me.
When I drive back to my house I have made up my mind to help Nicole it's not like she asked for my help but my conscious keeps on telling me that I should help her .
I know she's  the kind of girls that don't accept help,they tend to think they can stand by themselves but I'm gonna give her an offer I know she'll not resist. Even if I plan to move her out of that filthy place,it's not that filthy to her but to me a girl like her shouldn't be suffering staying In a very remote place,with no car. I think of giving her money to move out but she'll think I I looked down on her so I make the final decision I know it's weird but she'll accept.
I just want to be with her, spent my time with her get to know her well, piss her off so that I can watch her getting angry because she's damn hot while angry but I can't approach her yet she'll freak out thinking I'm one of those hit and run guys so I'm giving myself time, I'll approach her when she expects less,but I just to keep an eye on her that's why I'm making this move.
I know my dad will be super mad at me but I'm the one running the company now so I get to make decisions.
I watch her through my office window,when they go out for lunch with Caren when they come back and I swear I'm getting attracted to her already I know I said I'm not gonna fall in love with any bitch but she's not a bitch she's worth breaking my rules for.
It's almost 4 when I call her in ,I ask Esther to call her in .
I watch Nicole from the door and I swear I loose it .she's becoming beautiful day by day and I wouldn't be wrong if I say she looks breathtaking, but I can't let my lust ruin everything  I can't let her know I'm calling for her and that's why I wanna offer her this job so I adjust my suit and welcome her in.
"Welcome in Miss Alison"
"Thank you sir, miss Esther told me that you wanted to see me immediately and it was urgent Sir" she says
She's so innocent and I don't know if she'll accept whatever offer I want to give her.
" Yeah I wanted to discuss something crucial with you, it might take a while ,so what can I offer you a glass of juice  or water?"
" A glass of cold water will do Sir I just had lunch a few hours ago"
"Sure" I say as I walk to my office cabinet to pick a glass,I walk to my water dispenser and pour her a glass of water.
" So as I was saying, I have lots of workloads and I can't afford to do them on my own I need a helper"
"Okay sir , but how I'm I supposed to help you?"
" My secretary went for her maternity leave and I had to replace her with Esther but Esther has to go back to her duties, I need a PA Mrs Alison, someone who can be accompanying to my business meetings,keep my schedules, inform me of my day work, accompany me to business trips and every other work PA's do ,this is too much for me to handle on my own" I try to explain to her.
" But sir ,you're the CEO and you can just employ someone who's  fit for that position" she challenges me.
" Yes I understand but it's not easy to trust just anyone, and for the few weeks you've been here, I think you fit for that position,we can always figure out how to get another person to replace your position"
" Sir I can't take that offer I'm not qualified "
" It's not about qualifications Miss Alison it's about trust and hard work,I have no other option just take the chance please"
"I need time to think about this,it's too much for me to make a decision just right away"
" I understand Mrs Alison but I'd like you start work tomorrow ,you'll have your own office just where Esther works, and talking of salary I'll double it" I say that knowing well that she can't resist that offer"
" Okay I'll take the offer but let me hope it's not a blackmail plus I'm not taking it because of the doubling up of my salary ,it's a good act to always help the company and that's what I swore ,I'll work hard to see the success of the company"
"Okay thank you miss Alison,you don't want to know how much you've saved me,I owe you one"
" No need for that sir ,I'm doing this for the company"
" Okay I get it so you'll relocate to your new office tomorrow morning,I'll organise how your things will be moved, I guess that's all I had to say, have a nice evening Miss Alison"
"Thank you sir" and with that she's stands up and heads for the door.
Once she's gone,I take my time to meditate on what I've just done,it's a good move,very soon I'll tell her the truth, I'm falling for her.
