H E N R I E T T A
Days passed by like a hazy blur of scenes. Everything went by like normal days, everything went back to normal. I sent Tori a letter and asked her if she heard anything from Lucas. I also sent father a letter telling him I want to go back to Darkille.
She's fine now, but she barely talk. I asked her many questions about the last statement she said to me the first time I've been there.
"It's my fault I gave you to him."
"I gave you to Henry."
If only I could read her. But she kept herself locked in the East Wing.
"You're here again." I jerked and turned back only to see Dawson watching me like an eagle from afar.
Her angelic face looks so innocent.
"I told you to stop following her." He said with harsh and cold tone, commanding.
"I can't read her."
"That's impossible." He said while looking at Carrie.
"Well, it's possible because I can't." I said.
Natahimik siya sandali tila may naisip. "There are few curses that could block someone in the mind."
"And you think naka-block siya? From mind-readers?"
"That's the only reason I could think of."
"I have to know who protected her." Mariin na sabi ko. His face changed as he blankly looked back at me.
"She won't speak." Iiling-iling na sabi niya.
"That's why I have to read her."
"The Light wants privacy. Some elite families really use blocking-curses for the sake of their privacy." He said. Napa-isip naman ako. Ofcourse. Carrie came from an elite family, not just elite but she's a Light. That makes sense.
She's a curse-creator. She could block me off her mind, that would be easy for her. But she chose to stay at the East Wing where she couldn't use her ability.
"She will never do the same mistake again."
