Does Mal hate Dude?

No, of course not! I like Dude. He's a great dog.

It's the big dogs or the medium sized ones that scare her so much.

Dude's tiny and non-threatening. Also, he talks, so that helps. Other than that, I don't like dogs at all.

But you say I'm like a big puppy! Which I'm not, of course, but still!

You are like a puppy. You've got those big soulful eyes and that wagging, positive personality. But when you were turned into a dog, I was very afraid of you until I figured out it was you. And when I knew it was you, I knew I had nothing to fear because you'd never hurt me.
