Dystopians. Lots and lots of dystopians.

M is a nut for The Hunger Games, Divergent, and all of those sorts of series about wrecked governments.

On the other hand, E's really into stuff by old poets and old authors.

Oh, yes. I love Aurora Leigh by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and all of the Emily Dickinson poems.

Emily Dickinson? And you act like my dystopians are weird.

Not weird, just disturbing because they could actually happen in real life. They aren't entirely based on fantasy.

Yours aren't either! Emily Dickinson obsessively writes about death! That's very real!
