The stairs creaked and groaned as I leaned my weight into each foot as I descended them.

I kept one hand on the wall while my other hand was clenched at my side. I didn't need a light, I had the layout of my old home memorized, I just needed to get to that door soon.

The hairs on the back of my neck began to raise and I knew that someone was tracking me, watching my every move throughout the home.

I wanted to reach down and get one of my guns but I knew it would be pointless. I'd be overpowered and it'd be used against me.

I reached the bottom of the stairs. I felt a wave of nausea hit me as if I'd come crashing into a brick wall. Anxiety lingered on my skin as I started to sweat.

Each step I took towards that fucking door had a new feeling erupting inside of my body. It was a magnetic pull - one that I had never felt before.

The darkness swirled around me, as if something was being created in it's deepest depths.

I hesitated for only a moment just before the door, fear took hold but I fought it back. I turned the knob and pushed the door open slowly.

A small light attached to the back right wall glowed faintly, illuminating a small switch next to it.

I entered the room, being sure to close the door behind me before going to the switch on the wall. Against my better judgement I flicked it on.

There was a small click and then a scraping sound that filled the stale air, a piece of wall started to drag itself backwards revealing a small passageway that led deeper into the place I had once called my safe haven.

I took one step, just one before I felt and heard a loud thump. I winced as pain filled my head before I was swallowed by the darkness.

*A/N*

Sorry for such a short chapter! I had to break it up and rearrange a few sections after re-reading how weird it was to not have a view on Rip handling the note. Next chapter will be longer I promise!

Have a great day Loves!
