"What?! You like anime?" Jeonghan asked Jisoo. They had spent the last couple of hours outside, skipping classes and talking about random things under a tree. Now, they were laying down on the grass.
"Of course I do!" Jisoo sat up. "You can't help but ignore all those good looking 2D characters" Jisoo said with a hand over his chest.
Jeonghan chuckled. "I thought you wouldn't be that type of person"
"Why is that?"
"You seem really quiet and serious, so I was surprised when you suddenly started to play and joke around with me, and curse" Jisoo mumbled an apology. "Not that it's a bad thing but, you know, sometimes you look like you hold no life"
"I guess..." Jisoo looked away. Silence filled the air.
"But, when I lived in America I wasn't like this" Jeonghan turned to look at Jisoo.
"I was actually really happy back then, so filled with life. Or at least, I thought I was so I acted that way. But things change and there's nothing I can do except to suffer and get adjusted to the new way of living"
"I know what you mean" Jisoo turned to Jeonghan. The other stared at the sky while talking.
"My father is the CEO of a company and my mother is a model. Honestly, the only thing they had in common during their marriage was their obsession with work." Jeonghan sighed. "Thanks to them, I moved out of that house to now live by myself all because they couldn't give the proper love to their child. Seriously, if you're going to have children at least let them know you love them right?" Jeonghan turned to Jisoo only to find the other staring at him.
"Sorry" Jeonghan blushed and turned away. "It's just that, it's been too long since I last talked about my problems to someone"
Jisoo softly smiled. "Then that makes us two" The bell rang and they both bolted up.
"Shit, we lost the count of time. Let's hurry up before someone sees us outside" Jisoo hummed in response and followed Jeonghan inside.
"I can't believe you tripped while climbing the stairs" Jisoo laughed at Jeonghan who glared at him.
"I didn't trip I just-"
"Gracefully fell onto the floor" Jisoo laughed some more with Jeonghan chuckling on the side.
"Let's hurry up stick before everyone leaves and the bags are gone"
"May I remind you that I'm not the only one that looks like a stick?"
"May I also remind you that bump into the wall while we were walking?"
"I was distracted"
"Aha, sure, whatever you say"
They continued walking with a bit of bickering in between their steps until Jisoo suddenly froze.
"What's wrong?" Jeonghan asked.
"It's...him" Jeonghan turned around to where Jisoo was pointing and pushed Jisoo a little to the front.
"Apologize properly this time" Jisoo didn't move. "Don't worry" Jeonghan looked at Jisoo straight to his eyes. "I'll be here for you"
Jisoo gulped and started to walk with a bit of glances at Jeonghan. He saw the student slowly walk away and Jisoo didn't want to lose him. Not this time.
"Vernon!" He yelled. His voice was quickly muffled by the sound of students talking in the hallways but he noticed the figure stop.
"I'm sorry-" He felt arms surround his body and pull him into a hug.
"I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me"
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm sorry for leaving you alone all this time"
"No, Vernon look at me" Jisoo pulled away from the hug and held Vernon's face
"I'm the one that's supposed to apologize for what I did that day. I'm the one that's supposed to apologize for pushing you away. I'm the one that needs to apologize for hurting you"
"And for all of that, for everything I did to you, Vernon, I'm sorry"
They both hugged eachother, ignoring the stares of the students walking by. Jisoo turned around to look at Jeonghan and found the other giving him a warm smile.
