Trapped (pt.11)

   (Today is the day..)

   Joshua thought as he looked down while walking. He had practiced over and over the words he would tell the other. The words that would finally set him free from this toxic relationship he found himself in. A side of him, however, was scared to know how Yuki would react. Would he be furious? Or would he not care at all? Joshua thought the ravenett would end up having a mix of both.

   He sighed. He couldn't find Yuki anywhere. Normally, the other would be skipping lunch and instead, would hang out with his friends at the back of the school. But today, no one knew where he was. And this unsettled him. How can one just disappear from the face of this earth in a matter of seconds?

   Joshua continued walking with a faster pace this time. He had already missed lunch and skipping classes was becoming a bad habit for him, one that he wanted to get rid of, but at the moment, Yuki was all that mattered in his head. Joshua really wanted to get over this. And as he turned the corner, Joshua couldn't help but overhear a conversation coming from the other side. He stopped to listen, but couldn't put the words they were saying in place. As a result, he gathered the courage needed, in case it was a rival gang, and walked up to the two figures that stood there oddly close to eachother. However, once he recognized the faces Joshua frowned.

   It was Yuki and Vernon.

   Joshua couldn't really believe it, and thought that his eyes were playing tricks on him. Why would his best friend and his boyfriend be together if one of them hated the other's guts? Joshua asked himself as he walked closer to he other two.

   However, once he was in a close proximity, his eyes widened at the scene that unfolded before him. Vernon had grabbed Yuki by the collar and smacked his lips against the other, eventually forming a heated kiss.

   Vernon sighed. He hated the fact that his friend didn't end that relationship of his sooner. Yuki was a terrible person in Vernon's eyes. How could he force someone to change who they are and then fill them up with thoughts that would worsen their mental health? So what if Joshua wasn't popular before he met him, so what if Joshua wasn't the most important person in the school, Yuki didn't have to fill him up with thoughts that made him think he was better like this, that he was useless and boring before meeting him.

   Honestly, all of this made Vernon mad. He almost never got mad, but now, the only feeling that lingered was anger. And it was reasonable anger too. (How could he treat Joshua like that?!) Vernon thought as he walked around Joshua's school. He hadn't told Joshua this, nor planned to do so, but because his time in America was almost up, he couldn't just stay still and watch as his friend slowly gathered the courage to break up with that jerk. Vernon had to do something.

   So, as Vernon turned around the corner, he widened his eyes and ran up to Yuki once he had found him. If it wasn't because Joshua told him the older knew how to street fight, then he would've thrown a flying punch over to the ravenett. Thank God Vernon was a pacifist.

   Once the older noticed him, Yuki smiled. "Vernon! Sweety! What a miracle to see you here!" 

   "Don't you sweety me" Vernon said bitterly. "I came to tell you to leave Joshua alone"

   "Oh?"

   "Look, I know what you've been doing to Joshua. You're only dating him because you want to fullfil your disgusting thoughts, forcing him to do things he clearly doesn't want to in the process. So as his best friend, I warn you" He grinned. "You better leave him alone if you want to see the light of day once again"

   Yuki shrugged. "Ok"

   Vernon widened his eyes. "What..?

   "Ok. I can leave Joshua alone and end our relationship" Vernon  sighed in relief. "But" Yuki grinned causing Vernon to shiver. "In exchange, you'll have to do something he never really couldn't do properly"

   Vernon arched an eyebrow. "And that is..?"

   Yuki placed his fingers in his lips.

   "Kiss me"

   "What?!"

   "You heard me"

   "Of course not!" Vernon backed away a little. "And what do you mean he never did properly! I'm pretty sure the two of you kissed all the time!"

   Yuki tsked. "You call touching lips a kiss? Please, only little kids do that" He grinned. "But I see you're not willing to do it. Guess I can't do what you asked of me, huh? Sorry"

   "Why you.." Vernon sighed. It was only a kiss, if he did this, his best friend wouldn't have to suffer so much, Joshua wouldn't have to be with Yuki. And as much as he hated the idea of kissing an asshole, Vernon loved his best friend too much to not do this.

   He clenched his fists. Vernon grabbed Yuki by the collar and smacked his lips against the other, eventually forming a heated kiss.
