Chapter 41

   "What's going on?"

   Vernon asked as he stepped closer to the scene, opening his mouth in shock with each step.

   "J..Jeonghan?" He frowned. "What are you doing here?!"

   However, the older didn't respond. Instead, he walked over to Joshua and grabbed his wrist, only to pull him to his back harshly.

   "Jeonghan? What're you doing?!" The noirette said as he tried to pull away. But he didn't get a respond. The only thing he did get was the older to turn around and drag him out of the place.

   "What are you-"

   A hand on his shoulder stopped one of the youngest among them from stepping forward. Vernon looked at Seungkwan and felt a small tear fall from his eye as he glanced between him and Joshua, who kept on getting farther and farther away. As a result, the other gave him a warm smile and pulled him over for a hug.

   "Let them talk" He patted his head. "I'm sure Joshua can take care of himself now"

   Vernon nodded.

   "In the meantime, let's just hope everything will turn out to be alright, ok?"

   "Ok"

   "Where are you taking me?!"

   Joshua said as he wiggled in his spot. Jeonghan hadn't given him an answer to his questions and he was starting to get annoyed. Where was he taking him? Why was he taking him? Joshua could never tell what the other was thinking, but at the moment, Jeonghan was acting weirder than he'd normally act. Sure, seeing eachother in the mall may be nothing else but a coincidence, but taking him away from his friends was a whole nother thing.

   (Oh god was I kidnapped????) Joshua couldn't help but feel his hand sweat in nervousness as they soon reached the front door of the mall. 

   However, Jeonghan's sudden stop made him bump into his back and soon look over at him with questioning eyes.

   "Why did you-"

   "Joshua" He finally spoke. "I..have many things I want to say, many questions I want to ask. So please," He looked at him straight in his eye. "Listen"

   With an unsure expression, Joshua nodded and looked down. "S..sure"

   "What did you mean that day?" Jeonghan held his hand tighter. "Why did you say "I loved you"?"

   "I-"

   "Do you know how many sleepless nights I went through trying to decipher that sentence?" Jeonghan frowned. "Do you know how many times my head hurt thinking of you?"

   "I don't understand why you would" Joshua pulled away. "The sentence is as simple as it gets. There's no secret code, no fancy words nor anything of the sort"

   "Then why did those words hurt me so much?" Jeonghan buried his nails in the left side of his chest. "Why did they leave a mark? Why did the hug you were sharing with that guy brake my heart?"

   The other only gave him a bitter smile in return. "I don't get you" And turned around to leave, but the hand in his wrist hadn't disappeared. So he got pulled back and felt a head lay on his back.

   At this, the noirette looked down. "Why are you stopping me?"

   "Because I'm not done" He whispered. "I still need to say so much"

   "And what would that would be?"

   "I.." He hesitated. "I'm sorry" Joshua flinched. "And I love you"

   "...what?"

   "I'm sorry" He said louder. "I love you!"

   Joshua felt his face heat up and immediately turned to Jeonghan. He felt the other hold his hands dearly and look at him with a warm smile.

   "Ever since I met you, I was caught in a daze" Jeonghan blushed. "I couldn't understand what was so interesting about you that I was already under your spell. The only explanation is that I fell for your charms, Joshua Hong"

   However, the other only looked down, worry spread all over his face. "You do know I was broken long ago by someone I thought I loved, right?"

   Jeonghan sighed. "I do know" He smiled. "But I'm not him, Joshua. I'll never try to hurt you in such a way"

   Joshua looked at him. "How do you know?"

   The other gave him a soft chuckle. "Because I'm sure I fell for the real you"

   The younger blushed a deep red. He slowly walked over to Jeonghan and laid his head on his shoulder as he shared a warm hug with him, as to which, the other quickly returned.

   "I'm glad you did" He softly whispered.

   "Because I fell for you once again"
