Trapped (pt. 12)

   Vernon had grabbed Yuki by the collar and smacked his lips against the other, eventually forming a heated kiss.

   But without knowing, Yuki pushed him away harshly.

   "How dare you?!" He screamed. "Aren't you ashamed?!"

   At this, Vernon couldn't help but feel confused. Wasn't this what he wanted? Didn't he ask him himself for it? So why was he so offended?

   "Don't you know I have a boyfriend?!"

   "Why are you being so sentitive about this?!" He yelled in defence. "Weren't you the one who wanted to-"

   "Vernon"

   In an instant, the one called turned quiet. He felt his heart stop and his hands shake as he took in the way too familiar voice that called out to him.

   In a slow motion, Vernon turned around. "Joshua I-"

   "You what?" He looked at the younger. "You didn't mean to do that? You were playing around?" He tsked. "I never knew you would be able to do this"

   Joshua looked down. "I never knew you would do this to me"

   "Joshua, I didn't— I—"

   "Enough!" He yelled and looked away. "Just, leave me alone.."

   Vernon felt his blood boil. "Would you let me explain?! Did you really think I'd ever kiss someone like him?! I was doing this for you! I was trying to help you! But of course, you had to believe someone who doesn't even treat you right over your best friend! The person who has been listening to your problems ever since day one!" He yelled as Joshua looked at the ground, taking in all the younger's harsh words into him.

   Vernon chuckled and then tsked. "How stupid of me was to think you'd ever appreciate what I do! In fact, you never even listen to my own problems! Really,"

   "No wonder your mom doesn't want to be with you!"

   Joshua's eyes widened in shock as he looked up to his friend who immediately covered his mouth in panic.

   "J-joshua, I didn't-"

   "Leave"

   "Please! Joshua-"

   "I SAID LEAVE!" In an impulse, Joshua waved his hand right next to Vernon's cheek. And by the time he had realized what he had done, a loud smack resonated in the street.

   Vernon touched his cheek as he looked to the other side. He looked at his hand and then over at Joshua who held his in place. In an instant, crystal like droplets ran down his cheek.

   "FINE!" He yelled and turned around. "If you don't want me here so much I'll leave!"

   But before he kept walking, he glanced over his shoulder to look at Joshua who was standing there, watching his back with intensity.

   "Goodbye" He smiled sadly. "I hope your happy now" And walked away.

   Joshua felt his hand reach out, wanting to keep him in place. He wanted to apologize and hold onto the other to not let him go. But as he stood there, Joshua couldn't do anything but cry silently at the thought of loosing his friend. At the thought of getting in such a fight with someone who was only trying to help him.

   "Man that was intense!" Yuki said with a giggle to later turn into a smile. "Are you done? I'm happy you got rid of him, he was being such a pussy" He said with a chuckle and held out his hand. "Shall we go?"

   But what he didn't know is that Joshua's hand was already occupied with digging his own nails into his bare skin. Thoughts were racing in his head and most of them involved him. The one person he could never deny to. The person he saw as his prince charming and savior. But now, the man that stood before him looked so different. So suffocating. And he wanted to get rid of this feeling. Of him.

   "Darling?"

   "If it wasn't for you..this wouldn't have happened" He spoke after a few seconds. "If it wasn't because you did this, because you appeared right before me, none of this would have happened.."

   Yuki giggled in disbelief. "What are you talking about? Didn't we both agree that you're better like this?"

   "No" Joshua looked up. "We didn't"

   "You did"

   Yuki tsked and rolled his eyes in irritation. "Does it matter now? I helped you have a better life, a better look. And this is how you pay me? Without even giving me proper love?"

   "Proper love?" Joshua chuckled bitterly. "How dare you let such words out of your mouth?"

   "Making me change my whole appearance and personality just because of your own opinions, filling me up with words that lowered my self esteem and forcing yourself onto me isn't love" He said bitterly. "It's gross and annoying. But most of all,"

   "It's suffocating"

   Yuki stared at him in irritation. "Don't tell me you actually want to break up?"

   "In fact, I do" He watched the ravenett widen his eyes. "So let me make it clear for you, darling"

   In a swift motions, Joshua grabbed Yuki's neck and pulled him to the floor, only to be met with none other than his knee. With a big amount of force, he made sure to aim directly to the other's nose, and watched Yuki fall down to the ground in pain.

   "Yuki" Joshua smiled widely.

   "Let's break up"
