A month later
Jeonghan snuggled onto the thick blankets that covered him whole. Winter break had started, and Jeonghan had planned to spend time with Joshua or anyone for that matter. But those plans were now ruined. You see, it had been a month ever since he had last talked to the younger, and his friends had completely disappeared.
After that scene, Joshua had been avoiding him continuously. He had abandoned his spot in the band, causing Jeonghan's guilt to increase by the day. And his daily lunch had completely disappeared, forcing Jeonghan to go back to his own unhealthy ways.
As for Mingyu and Jun, Jeonghan couldn't say much about them. Jun had switched schools and was now going to Wonwoo's high school, a decision that was apparently made by his parents. But Mingyu on the other hand, gave Jeonghan an apologetic yet dirty look every time they would cross paths. As if something was on his head; something Jeonghan couldn't point out. But to him, that wasn't an important matter he cared much about.
At the moment, there was only one thing in his head: Joshua.
(What could he have possibly meant?) Jeonghan thought has he hugged the blanket tighter. Right before the noirette had left that day, he had turned around and told Jeonghan a sentence he couldn't seem to get out of his head.
"I seriously thought I loved you"
Every time Jeonghan would rewind that very moment, his heart would skip a beat. What was so special about that sentence that it would drive him crazy? Jeonghan couldn't tell. In fact, it would cause a headache on his stressed out brain.
All he wanted to do at the moment was relax for some time. Make all of the problems go away. But the sudden sound of the doorbell made him jump out of his bed and hurriedly head to the front door.
However, once he had opened it, he was greeted with a familiar sight.
"Hello hyung-"
Before Jeonghan could completely close the door, a foot had already entered trough it, creating a crack that was impossible to close for the older.
"Jeonghan! Don't be an annoyance! Let me in!"
"Go home Hoshi, I don't want to see anyone right now"
"But I brought pizza!"
At the mention of this, the door was suddenly fully opened causing the younger to fall in.
Jeonghan scratched the back of his neck. "What are you doing here?"
"Wow no good afternoon or a how are you?" Soonyoung said as he stood up and slightly palmed his clothes. "I even brought pizza, I deserve better than this" He muttered.
Jeonghan sighed and closed the door. "How are you Hoshi?"
"I'm good hyung!" The other smiled. "What bout you?"
"To tell you the truth" Jeonghan hesitated. "I feel like crap"
"I can tell" The other sat on a chair. "I've heard all about it from Jihoon, or the whole school in fact"
Jeonghan gave a tired sigh. "Rumors travel fast, don't they?"
"Sadly, they do" Soonyoung looked at him. Worry and curiosity spread all over his face. "Can..can I ask you a question I've been wanting to ask for a while now?"
He crossed his arms. "Go ahead"
"Why did you back out?"
His eyes widened. "Or more specifically, why didn't you join in with Mingyu and Jun? I thought that since you were the one who came up with the plan you'd be the first to accept it. Truly a shock you ended your relationship with them just to protect him"
"Is..it..?"
"It is" Soonyoung frowned. "Hyung, don't get me wrong but, aren't you a bit too sad about this? This isn't like you. You usually don't care about who you have to step on to get your goal. You don't spend too much time with everyone around you. And you certainly don't try to befriend your next victim"
Jeonghan looked down. "Hyung, what are your true feelings towards him?"
"What...do you mean?"
"Jeonghan"
"Do you like him?"
