Help me (pt.9)

   Joshua watched as his best friend and boyfriend ate eachother up with only using their vision. He could feel the tension between them; the agonizing feeling that if he left, the other two would most likely beat eachother up before he came to the rescue.

   However, Joshua was very surprised. Vernon almost never acted this way, in fact, the New Yorker rarely got angry at anyone. He was a pacifist by heart, so watching him get this annoyed by someone only meant one thing, a fact that Joshua didn't want to accept.

   Either way, the thick atmosphere between them was slowly killing him whole. But thanks to the sudden vibrations of his phone, Joshua found a way to escape that situation. He picked it up and narrowed his eyes, a saddened expression soon taking over his face.

   "If you'll excuse me" He said as he stood up. "I need to go ahead and take this call"

   "Of course~" Were the words he last heard before he left the room. Joshua headed to the long hallway that stood between the laundry room and the living room, hiding behind the walls to prevent the other two from seeing him. Joshua sighed and answered.

   "Hello?"

   "Joshua, sweety, how are you doing?"

   "I'm fine, how's work?"

   "Pretty hectic if I do say so myself" He heard the woman chuckle from the other side.

   He smiled. "I'll make some spaghetti for when you get home, that way, you won't have to cook dinner tonight"

   "About that" His mother hesitated. "I won't be here tonight, or for the rest of the week for that matter"

   Joshua frowned. "What? Why?"

   "There seems to be a problem with the new project that we're now working on in the company" She said with a sigh. "They asked me if I could go to Florida to talk to some company representatives that will buy the product, as to which, I agreed"

   "I..see"

   "Joshua" His mother groaned. "I know we haven't spent a long time together but I hope you know I love you with all my heart. Sweety, I'm sorry I-"

   "Mom" He interrupted. "There's no need to apologize. I know you're doing this for me, for us, and I couldn't ask you for more."

   "Well then" She said with such sadness that Joshua couldn't seem to want to grasp. "Take care"

   And before he could completely hand up, he heard his mom mutter.

   "I love you"

   Joshua wanted to cry. He hadn't cried for a while. In fact, it had been two to three months since he had last done so. But now, the air around him was seeming to disappear. His throat felt as if it had been completely closed up and his knees felt weak because of their excessive shaking. Joshua felt his vision blurry and the light get darker, and darker, and darker, and-

 
   "Joshua?"

   Suddenly, he felt the world come back to how it was, as if nothing had ever happened, as if nothing had changed. He turned around and widened his eyes. There he stood, his prince charming. None other than Yuki.

   "Are you alright?"

   "..y-yes"

   "Are you sure? Cause I called you countless of times before this and you didn't respond"

   Joshua scratched his cheek. "Sorry, I.. wasn't paying attention"

   He shrugged. "Oh well, not like I care" Yuki turned around and went to sit in the couch, followed by Joshua who was looking around for his friend.

   "Where's Vernon?"

   "Oh him? He left. Said he had something to do with his temporary home and that he didn't want to interrupt you" Yuki said as he watched Joshua sit right beside him.

   "Is that so?"

   "Yup~" Yuki smirked. "But you know, now that we're alone..why don't we try something we've never done~?"

   "W-what do you mean?" Joshua watched the ravenett lick his lips and push him to the couch making him yelp in surprise as the other held his arms captive by either side of him and look at him like a predator about to devour his prey.

   "You're so beautiful, you know that~?" He said as he touched the other's chest. "So innocent, so pure"

   "Yuki, don't-"

   "I can't believe, darling, the fact that you used to be single before this" He whispered in Joshua's ear. "What a shame no one could experience seeing you like this"

   "That is, until you met me~"

   Joshua shivered. He didn't want this. Why was Yuki doing this in the first place? Joshua wanted to escape, he wanted to run away and hide from this lion that seemed to be in heat. But Joshua was scared. What if Yuki got mad at him for not fulfilling his whishes? What if the other stopped loving him? Joshua certainly didn't want that, but he also didn't want to go trough this, he didn't want to step into this kind of activity yet. Besides, he couldn't deny Yuki. No, he couldn't deny him.

   But..

   A part of him, however, seemed to be having enough.

   Joshua looked at Yuki. "I'm not ready yet"

   A part of him, however, wouldn't let the other do something like this to him even if he was his boyfriend.

   "Please"

   "Stop"

(Whaa I finally updated didn't I? I've been lazing around too much lately that it isn't even funny so I apologize for not adding another chapter sooner for I do not have an actual excuse to do so.

However, I think that I will continue to do slow updates because school is almost starting soon and everytime I enter the "back to school" aisle at the stores I must be carrying a garlic necklace around my neck and a holy cross cause I don't want that shit anywhere around me

Anyways, we're almost finished with this whole arc thing and then we'll continue on with the main story so like
