Chapter 28

   Jeonghan laid in his bed. (Did I make the right decision?) He thought as he placed an arm over his eyes. Mingyu and Jun were his friends from way back, but their friendship felt superficial and unreal. It wasn't long for them to drift apart but that didn't mean Jeonghan wanted to do just that. He actually liked the other two. Suddenly, however, his phone vibrated.

   Jeonghan sighed.

   Jeonghan stood up and changed into comfortable clothing. He got out of his house and headed to Wonwoo's apartment. After a while, Jeonghan arrived and knocked on the door.

   The door opened. "Jeonghan, I'm glad you're here"

   "Yeah yeah, now what's this about?" Wonwoo motioned for Jeonghan to walk in and the other did as told.

   "I asked a friend for help on translating the recording, and I found some interesting information"

   Jeonghan opened the fridge and took out a coke. "And that is?"

   Wonwoo sighed. "Let me show you"

   He went to his room and brought out his laptop. Jeonghan took this time to sit on the table and make himself comfortable. Soon enough, an audio played on the screen and subtitles appeared on the bottom. Jeonghan read each word carefully. His eyebrows furrowed. (What does he mean by this time? And..what does he mean by "him"? What did he loose?)

   Jeonghan narrowed his eyes. "What happened during Joshua's past?"

   "I'm still not sure" Wonwoo crossed his arms. "When I first read the recording I was unsure about most of the things they were talking about" Wonwoo sighed. "Everything is a mystery without a start. I fear that at this rate I won't be able to find out about Jisoo at all"

   "About that" Jeonghan hesitated. "I..think I don't want to know more about him like this"

   Wonwoo turned to look at Jeonghan. "What?"

   "I think I want to know more about Jisoo naturally. Without using these methods that is" 

   Jeonghan slightly blushed. "I want to get closer to him"

   "You've got to be kidding me" Wonwoo said with a slight smile. "Are you sure you want to back out now? More importantly, now that we have a lot of hints?"

   "That's the thing, we have hints but not a proper start" Jeonghan placed his head on his hand.

   "You were the one who started this scheme Jeonghan" Wonwoo spat. "It's too late to stop this now"

   "I know" Jeonghan narrowed his eyes. He stared at his coke and then took large gulps.

   Wonwoo eyed him. "There's something more to this isn't there"

   Jeonghan stayed quiet. After a while, he finally spoke. "The reason for why I decided to come to you for aid was because Jisoo got on my nerves when we first met. More importantly, on Mingyu's nerves" He took another sip from his coke. Wonwoo knew about this, how Jisoo had slapped Mingyu and made the other look like a total joke in front of the other students. He thought it wouldn't be that important, but then again, it's Mingyu we're talking about. Wonwoo sighed.

   "So he decided to get revenge huh?"

   "But I declined to continue on with the plan. And now, the word friendship doesn't exactly exist between us anymore"

   "I see" Wonwoo said with a sigh. "And what do you want to do now?"

   "I'm not sure" Jeonghan sighed. 

   "I don't know about you but I want to continue with the research" Jeonghan turned to look at him. "I started this mainly because I was curious and now I want to finish it more than ever"
