Chapter Seven - The Party

I woke up to my phone ringing. I missed my alarm. I didn't think I was that tired. I checked the caller ID, it was Niall.

"Hello?"

"Hey baby. You coming to the coffee shop?"

"Oh shit. No, sorry, I missed my alarm."

"That's ok. I'll meet you at work then."

"Ok baby. Sounds good."

"Alright. Bye Addy."

"Bye Niall."

And with that, I hung up the phone. I didn't have time for a shower, so I just brushed my hair and teeth and put on some fresh makeup and clothing. I didn't have my daily cup of coffee today, so we'll see how today was going to work out. I got to work and I didn't see Niall. Weird. I was almost late for work, so I decided to go to my studio. As I was unlocking the door I heard Niall call my name.

"Addy."

"Hey Niall."

"I got you this." He handed me a cup of coffee. "It's your favorite."

"Oh god, thank you." I said as I took the coffee from him and began to sip it.

"Anything for my Adds."

I smiled and unlocked the studio door, letting us both in.

"Hey, I thought you had the day off?"

"Yea, I do, but I wanted to bring you a cup of coffee since you couldn't make it to Starbucks this morning."

"Thank you, I appreciate it."

"Of course baby. I should get going so you can work. Wanna meet up after work?"

"Sure. I can give you a key to my flat so you can chill at my place if you want. And don't forget about the party today."

"Oh shit, yea, that's right. I'll finish up my stuff for the party then I'll meet you at your flat then, yea?"

"Ok, sounds good. Here's a key." I said as I handed him a spare key to my flat.

"Alright, bye baby. Have a good day." He kissed my cheek

"Bye babe. You too." I said as he walked out the door.

I sat down and decided which song I was going to work on today. I was thinking about releasing No Ordinary Girl, but I wasn't sure yet. I decided I would record it and have it just in case I decided to release it.

I finished my work and locked up before heading back to my flat. I unlocked my flat door and walked in to see Niall sitting on my couch watching golf. This was normal for him, he loved his golf. I was thinking of trying golf someday, but I would need someone to teach me. Maybe Niall could teach me? I snapped out of my thoughts as Niall said hi to me.

"Hey. How was work?"

"Hey. It was pretty good. How was your party setup?"

"It was good. Can't wait for tonight."

"So we've got 4 hours until the party. What do you wanna do until then?"

"I dunno, just chill I guess."

"Ok. The girls are coming over at 5 I think, so we can chill until then if you want."

"So you don't want me around when you're getting ready?"

"Well I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise of what outfit I picked out. That and the girls probably wouldn't appreciate it very much."

"Alright then." He sighed

"Oh stop it. I'll spend lots of time with you at the party, ok?" I said as I walked up to him and sat on his lap.

"Alright, that sounds good. I should probably head back at 5 anyway just in case people show up early."

"Who would show up 2 hours early for a party?"

"I dunno."

We laughed and had fun until 5 when it was time for him to go. The girls got here and we began to get ready for the party. I settled on a short, sleevless pink dress with a light brown leather buckle. I wore brown flats with it. I curled my hair and applied some light makeup and decided to help the other girls get ready.

All of us were ready to go and we all looked amazing. We walked over to Niall's flat, which is where he was hosting the party. His flat was pretty big, so we didn't have to worry about fitting everyone in. I walked up to the door and knocked on it. Louis opened the door, letting us in.

"Well don't you ladies look lovely today?" Louis complimented us

"Oh shut up Tommo. Don't you have a girlfriend?" I teased him

"Actually, we broke up right before the party."

"Aw Louis, I'm sorry. I didn't know. How are you feeling?"

"Pretty good. Things weren't going too well between us, so it was time we broke up anyway."

"Well I'm glad to hear that you're doing good. Hey, where's Niall?"

"Your lover boy's in the kitchen. He'd be happy to know you're here. He keeps asking if you're here yet."

"Haha, alright, thanks Tommo."

I walked into the kitchen to see Niall talking to some friends. I walked up to him and put my arms around his waist and my head on his shoulder from behind. He jumped a bit since he wasn't expecting it, but soon turned around to see me.

"Hey you. Wow, you look amazing." He complimented me

"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself." Niall was wearing a black tux with a pink tie, which is funny because I didn't tell him what color I was wearing.

"Care to dance?" Niall said in a posh tone, making me giggle a little.

"I don't see why not." I said as he took my hand and walked me out to the dance floor. We slow danced for hours, just enjoying each others company. It was 2 AM and I decided to head back to my flat. It's a good thing neither of us had work tomorrow, that meant we could sleep in.

"I should get going." I told Niall, he looked a bit disappointed that I had to go.

"Alright baby. Be safe ok? Text me when you get home."

"Ok baby. I'll see you later then."

He walked me to the door after I gathered all of the girls together so I didn't have to walk back alone. The girls walked out and waited for me outside the door. I was getting ready to head out the door when Niall grabbed my waist and turned me back around. He cupped my cheek with his hand and pulled me close to him. He placed a warm, soft kiss on my lips. It was a small kiss, but full of passion. We pulled out of the kiss and smiled at each other before Niall broke the silence.

"Bye Addy."

"Bye Niall." I said as I placed another quick peck on his lips before walking out the door and heading home for the night.
