I woke up that night screaming and sweaty.
"Addy?! Baby! You ok?" Niall said. I just sat there and cried. "Hey, it's ok. It was just a dream baby. It was just a dream."
"No, Niall. It wasn't a dream. It was a flashback."
"What do you mean?"
"It was a flashback of when Jace shot me. I could see the look on your face and- and." I stuttered at the end but couldn't finish because I was still crying.
"Oh baby. I'm sorry. He's gone now, ok? He's in prison now and he'll never be able to harm you again."
"Ok."
"Come on. Let's try and get some more sleep."
"No, I'm not tired anymore."
"Baby, you hardly got any sleep. You need more rest."
"I'm fine." I said. I walked out of the room so Niall couldn't fight back anymore.
I continued to have nightmares. Flashbacks. Every single night. This time it was worse. I hadn't gotten much sleep, so my body didn't want to wake up, so I just laid in bed crying with my eyes closed. I was stuck in this flashback that I didn't want to relive but my body was forcing me to relive.
"Addy! Addy wake up! Baby you need to wake up." I felt Niall shaking me. I shot up and screamed. I cried. Hard. Harder than I have in a long time. Harder than I did when my grandma died. "That's it."
"What?"
"We need to leave. We need to get out of London for a bit."
"Why?"
"To get away. You need to get out of your own head and it'll help if we're not in London."
"Ok, but where are we gonna go?"
"How about we go to Ireland? We can stay with my family for a bit or we can just rent a hotel so it can still be the three of us."
"So we're bringing Elaine?"
"Of course. I don't wanna leave her here. I need to keep her safe. I'm not flying to a different part of the country without her."
"Ok. Yea. Let's do that."
"Ok. I'll book us a flight and call my manager. You call your manager to let him know."
"Ok."
I pulled out my phone and dialed my managers number. It was pretty early in the morning, so I'm not sure if he'll pick up or not.
"Hello?"
"Hi."
"Adelaide, what's wrong? You never call this early."
"Yea. I know. Sorry about that. I just needed to tell you that Niall and I are booking the next flight to Ireland. We'll be there for a couple days."
"Oh. Why?"
"Because I need to get away. I haven't been sleeping well because I've been having nightmares. Flashbacks of last week. Moments that I don't want to relive, but do whenever I close my eyes. I need to get out of my own head and it's easiest to do that when I'm not in London, so we're flying to Ireland for a couple days."
"Ok Adelaide. Take as much time as you need to get better and I'll see you when you get back."
"Ok. Thank you."
"No problem. Get better soon. You have a tour coming up."
"Ok bye."
"I got the ok from my manager." Niall said
"Yea. Same here."
"Ok. Let's get packing then. I booked us a flight that leaves at 10 today, so we need to be there at 8."
"Ok."
"We need to call my mum and tell her we're coming and we need to get a taxi to come get us when we're ready to go."
"Ok."
We packed a bag for me, Niall, and Elaine and left the house just in time for our flight.
