Jaehyun POV
There are only two things that I wanted to kept hidden and forgotten in my life, and this is one of them. The fact that I shared the same blood with this good-for-nothing world banker, Jason Choi.
You can say I'm born in an ultra wealthy family who owns half the banks in US, Asia and Europe with a couple of real estates and resorts thrown in. But I'm considered a stain in the family, a scandal that the Chois will keep under wraps no matter the consequences, in short an illegitimate son.
My mom and I used to live in US before we went back to Korea. A decision that was not easy on both sides after my dad left us to start a new family with a rich heiress chosen by the Chois. I was only ten years old at that time, and trust me when I say that it wasn't amusing to see your family fall apart just because of money and pedigree.
When we arrived in Korea, I swore to myself to never looked back and erased the Chois in my life as much as I can or until I graduated highschool. And he's back again with his usual antics! I thought as I called out to the guy, who is seated in front of Jungwoo.
"Yoon Oh! Finally, you're here! I thought you'll not make it!" he cried out as he stood from his seat to give me hug. Jason Choi aka Mad Dog in the business world is a handsome man in his mid-forties, a Korean-American who is dominating the bank and forex world. People might view him as a kind-hearted man, a philanthropist who donates millions to the poor, and an activist for human rights but that is just a ploy. Underneath that exterior, he is one of the three 'heads' that control the black market in Asia. Cerberus, is the name of their organization under the Pandora's eagle eyes and iron fists.
"I'm here to pick up Jungwoo." I answered back while I avoid his attempt. I want to keep this short and quick!
"Don't be like that, I'm just getting to know your fiance." he replied with a crooked grin.
"Jungwoo doesn't associate with trash." I told him bluntly while I gave him a cold glare.
"Ouch! I'm hurt!" he pretended as he sat back down on his chair.
"Jungwoo are you hurt?" I asked. My tone immediately changed into concern as I moved towards him and held his hand.
"I'm good babe. He didn't hurt me or anything." he responded and gave me a weak smile.
"We're leaving." I announced.
"No. You're staying for a few minutes." Jason ordered.
"Why?" I glowered with just the thought of sharing the same air with him.
"Because I missed my son and I took great lengths for us to meet."
"Not new to me. Why are you here?"
"Your mom told me that you're getting married soon. I didn't receive any invitation so here I am." he answered as he opened his arms out.
"It didn't cross your mind that you're not invited?" I retorted.
"Look, I'm just here to congratulate you and your good-looking fiance. A father needs to give his blessing right? Besides I can pay for the whole ceremony, new mansion, new business, just tell me."
"That privilege expired the moment you walked out of the door and no, I have plenty of money from the trust fund you've set up for me." I replied in a seething tone. My blood is starting to boil with anger and my patience thinning by the second. What the actual fuck! Is he here to insist his role as a father again? A role he threw away for money and power! I can't believe I'm related to this asshole!
