After what seemed like a long time, our house was finally full of bustling people. They dart here and there as they busied themselves with preparation for my brother's wedding, which is happening in two days. The whole family, friends, and other invited guests are all supposed to leave for Jeju this afternoon, so everyone is rushing to get things in order. And we only have a few hours to go.
"Sicheng, did you text Haechan? Is he coming?" Taeil asked as he set down our lunch on the table.
"Yeah, he said he'll be dropping by somewhere first," I answered with an unbothered tone.
"Babe, you should eat. You might get hungry later." Jaehyun reminded Jungwoo, who is openly staring at the people who are seated at the table.
"Well, this is a crowd," Jungwoo mumbled before picking up his fork to dig in at the peach mango pie in front of him.
The crowd he's referring to is none other than us. An assortment of dragons, mortal, and gods in one table. I glanced around and observed them secretly while they eat the lunch that Taeil and Nana had prepared. Seated on my right is Yuta and on my left is Jungwoo, next to him is Jaehyun then Johnny. Across us are Taeil with Taeyong, Nana with Jeno, and then Chenle. The only one missing is Haechan since I heard that Ten, our older brother will go directly to Uncle Kai's mansion.
"By the way, Jaehyun how did you tell Doyoung that you're getting married?" Taeyong started while he carefully picked the fish bones before placing the fish meat on Taeil's plate.
"No need to, because someone apparently let their tongue slip and beat me to it." Jaehyun replied bitterly.
"YO! I already said sorry, didn't I? I slipped, it wasn't my intention. Really!" Johnny exclaimed defensively.
"You seem too healthy for me, I think I need to drown you a bit in the Jeju sea." Jaehyun joked.
"Try me," Johnny dared with a smile.
"Oh, shush! All of you, eat! I still have a lot to do after this, and Taeyong stop picking the fish bones! I can do it myself!" Taeil said with an exasperated expression.
"Jeez, Yeobo, don't get stress," Taeyong replied. A small smile crept on his face before focusing on his own food.
With Taeyong's remark, Taeil became silent as he absentmindedly picks the food on his plate. The small bickering and joking didn't stop there as all of the people at the table shared stories and opinions with each other. It was noisy and chaotic. Thank Sang Je, that our parents decided to head over to Jeju before us, to help with the wedding preparations there or else the chaos will be doubled.
After our lunch, Jungwoo and I decided to sit around in the garden. It was a beautiful day, the roses are still in full bloom, the grass is greener than ever, and the slightly warm breeze was just right, it's the kind of day that'll make you drowsy because of how comfortable it is. So we sat on the blanket, under the shade of the canopy that Jaehyun set up earlier for us.
