Chapter 47 : The New Moon God

A few days have passed since Jaehyun has become immortal, and we have already settled his mortal affairs. He already said goodbye to his mom and friends and filed an indefinite leave of absence in his university (it's a good thing that we know the owner and headmaster of the university). 

He also asked Wonho, who apparently worked for him in secret, to keep an eye on his mom. Jaehyun also made sure that his mom has full access to his trust funds since he won't need it for a while. And Mrs. Jeong asked his permission to use the money for her business expansion, and Jaehyun gave his consent. 

Therefore, we are now standing in front of the new main building of the Moonshine Flower Company. From the medium-sized store in a rural neighborhood to a posh high-scale building in Gangnam with several store branches now in place all over South Korea. Jaehyun made sure to use his connections and money to pick the best locations around the country. 

"We will merge the two companies once I get back, Mom," Jaehyun stated as he studied the building with a proud smile. 

"Whatever you say, son. Enough with companies, I want to see my grandchild soon. You hear?" Mrs. Jeong responded after giving Jaehyun a light smack at the back. 

"You're more excited than us," Jaehyun teased.

"Well, I'm not getting any younger, am I? I need time to spoil my grandchild!" 

"Arasseo, eomma. I agree that you're no longer young, look at your wrinkles!"

"C'mon, Jungwoo. We can leave your husband here," Mrs. Jeong joked as she took my right arm and tugged me gently towards the building entrance. "You know, if ever you decide to divorce my son I will still be your mother-in-law, right?" she said loudly, just enough for Jaehyun to hear.

"Divorce?! As if I will let that happen, old lady! And stop whispering divorce to my husband!" Jaehyun called out as he ran to catch on us while we walk hurriedly to the elevator, giggling.

All three of us got on the elevator and arrived at the top floor of the building. We were greeted by a female secretary who bowed low and opened the white double doors to the penthouse office.

"Are you sure twenty floors is enough?" Jaehyun asked as we walked into the office. He looked at the interior and scrutinize everything from the leather chairs to the lighting.

"It is enough, Jae. More than enough, I don't plan to make Moonshine to go global...yet." Mrs. Jeong answered before winking at me.

"We'll talk about that after I take the CEO position at the company. Jason's attorney has already sent me the contracts and documents. I'll be bringing it up at the palace to study it."

"You sure you have time? Jungwoo will be giving birth in two weeks," Mrs. Jeong pointed out to me. 

Almost out of breath with the few steps that it took us from the elevator to the office, I sat down carefully on the black leather sofa as I gently massage my stomach. Somehow, after Jaehyun's ascension, my back started to hurt. I don't know if it's because of my little accident or because I'm about to give birth. And I can't ask Taeil to heal me because he and my family are already back at the Moon Kingdom to prepare for our arrival.
