It has been ten days since I came to the celestial realm and it passed by like a blur. I settled in just fine, in fact, everyone here is kind to me but maybe because of my status as Jungwoo's husband. And I'm not going to lie, when I say that the food here is much better than in the mortal realm.
Everything seems magical, the palace, the gardens, the lakes, the ocean, even the everlasting field where I vomited when I first arrived here. I finally have time to see it all, thanks to Jungwoo's insistence for me to see everything.
The Moon Palace, where we are staying now, is mostly made of crystals which shine like a beacon when it reflects the moonlight. The first time I toured the palace, I was walking around with my mouth hung open. Everything was luxurious, diamonds here, moonstones there, crystals everywhere. Now, the question of how they're rich in the mortal world was answered.
Our main room, which is the size of five basketball courts has a massive four-poster bed decorated in midnight blue satin covers. We have a few diamond chandeliers, a crystal-studded walk-in closet and dressing room, a private library which contain ancient books in who-knows-what language. A large bathroom wherein there's a small square pool in the middle where you can take your bathe while surrounded by jasmine flowers.
Plus, did I forgot about the fact, that you can see the moon above? Yes, our room has a magical roof where it reflects the starry night and the moon outside. Only our room and the throne hall has that feature apparently, so it kinda feels like we are outside.
Then, there's the palace gardens which I can boasts about. Jungwoo told me while we were walking in one of the palace gardens that all the flowers in the Moon Kingdom bloom forever. They never wilt nor die, he explained that this was because the flower's nectar was important. He mentioned something that it was crucial for the food of the Gods.
Now, all of that was fun except for my lessons with Minho. After the coronation, he declared the next day that he will start teaching me the basic duties of a consort. While looking at Jungwoo with a pleading look, he dragged me out of our room and locked us inside the grand library.
"You need to read this for now," he said as he dumped at least five thick books in front of me.
"Today?" I asked in dismay.
"Yes. Are you skipping your duty?" he asked as he looked at me with judgmental eyes.
"N-no. I didn't say I am." I replied. So, I took a book and began reading it without any word. He stayed there with me and watched me read the books, which by the way, was disconcerting. He usually throw some questions out of the blue once a finished a book, if I can't answer it he will ask me to read that whole chapter again. But, if I answered correctly he would give me an approving nod.
That lasts until late at night and to my disappointment, it didn't happen just once. The lessons continued everyday, he told me that he will let me off once Jungwoo give birth. So, like anyone would, I began counting the days to Jungwoo's due date.
His harsh training and lessons have its perks though. Now, I know what's the difference between faeries and other magical beings. The best way to cook and prepare Jungwoo's favorite celestial dishes, the holidays that each celestial deities celebrates and what gifts to give them.
