Chapter 17 : Choco Pie

Jaehyun POV 

I ended up staying at Jungwoo's place since the weather outside became worse. Heavy rain and strong wind are making the windows rattle, as if in fear. 

Jungwoo and I stayed at his room after the brief introduction with his brothers. They're currently eating downstairs, on the clean dining table (I ran down before Jeno and wiped it clean!) and I believe his parents are still inside the library.

I laid on the bed, my body feeling heavy after all the things that happened today. I didn't expect I will meet Jungwoo's parents in that kind of situation. I think I just blew up my chances to make a good impression on them!, I thought as I gazed towards the ceiling. 

Jungwoo's dad seems to be a cool god, but his husband will be difficult. I need to find a way to win his approval. I need to show that I can be enough for his son. But how? I sighed, thinking about it gives me a headache. They've mentioned something about the 'thread of fate', about Mr. Kim, and my invisible tattoo. When did I have this tattoo ? Is it on our first night together?  I thought as I glanced over Jungwoo. He is currenty sitting at the edge of the bed, eating.

"You're eating too much sweets babe." I cautiously pointed out as I put my phone on top of the side table.

"I haven't eaten sweets for the last five hours. My blood sugar is dropping." he said as an excuse.

"Is that even a thing?" I asked amused, but he just shrug as a reply.

"I feel sleepy." he said after he swallowed the last piece of the choco pie and leaned on the headboard.

"You just ate." I reminded him as I reached for his hand.

"I know." He replied, giving a pout as he caress my hand.  "Tough, huh? Meeting my family like this." he added as he sighed.

"I don't mind, they're bound to be protective of you. Since you're so cute." I replied as I looked at him affectionately.  "But...I would prefer to meet them in a...different situation." I admitted, thinking about how my heart jumped out this morning.

"Pffftt...hahaha!" Jungwoo laughed loudly.  "Yeah! God, that was so embarrassing!" he giggled as he snuggled close to me.

"I honestly thought, I'd die." I admitted and wrapped my arm around him. I'd laugh at the situation too if it's not serious to me, but it is. One look from his father and I know my life is on the line here. Thinking about it gives me goosebumps.

"Don't worry babe! It's not the end of the world." he added while he kissed my cheek.

"It looks like it is." I said as I looked at the window. The wind is howling outside like a beast being tortured.
