After Kai told us that we needed to prepare for our honeymoon, Jungwoo and I bid farewell to our guests which resulted in a lot of cheering, applause, and callouts for us to have fun. We waved at them with full smiles on our faces and gave our parents a kiss and a hug at the exit.
Outside, Kai guided us to the orchard where he ushered us in front of two old apple trees located in the middle, their branches which are full of fruits were leaning on each other making a sort of an 'entryway'.
"You'll enter there," Kai pointed at the middle of the apple trees. "It'll take you to your honeymoon destination," he added with a smile.
"I'm sorry?" I asked as I study the apple trees.
"Jungwoo told me that you are not yet used to traveling through celestial projection, so this is the only way you can go there in a matter of seconds," Kai explained as he waved a hand at the trees. Instantly, as if by command the entryway suddenly glowed with a bluish light and an opaque energy barrier appeared, rippling as if it's made of water.
"Jungwoo, you know what to do. Stay at the mortal place for a night, when the new moon is up the boat will reveal itself, board it and don't be late, it will bring both of you to your final destination. She said the place will be available for four days and three nights, after that you can celestial project from there or contact me so I can open a portal for you." Kai reminded Jungwoo before giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Yes, Uncle. Thank you," Jungwoo responded. Kai stretched out his hand to me for a handshake and patted my back before pushing us towards the apple trees.
"Enjoy the place lovebirds, it's a rare opportunity." Kai winked at us.
"Are you ready babe?" Jungwoo asked me as he took my hand in his.
"I guess I am, whenever you are," I answered while giving his hand a slight squeeze.
We walked towards the middle of the leaning apple trees and gave Kai a final wave and assured him that we will be back, side by side we slowly stepped foot through the barrier to celebrate our honeymoon.
I didn't feel anything weird when we entered the teleportation barrier, unlike the celestial projection, this way of traveling is agreeable with my legs and my stomach. The barrier felt cool and refreshing with a whiff of the ocean, maybe because Kai is the Prince of the sea however, no matter how I enjoyed this form of traveling I think I don't dare to tell Jungwoo. I just need to get used to the celestial projection in the near future.
On the other side of the barrier, we were greeted by an unfamiliar view. We were standing in the middle of a ridge with an overview of the whole place, and it was picturesque. The sun was just setting on the horizon, it's red-orange rays reflecting beautifully on the ocean waters and the town near the bay. I can see the people small as ants from our point of view, bustling around town as the night sets in.
"Where are we, babe?" I asked while my eyes are still processing the scenery below.
"Sicily," Jungwoo answered with a smile.
