When Jaehyun excused himself to go to the bathroom, I instantly knew there's something wrong. My godly senses tingled with apprehension and it slowly crept at the back of my spine to my nape, giving me goosebumps. I immediately stood up from the floor and headed towards the bathroom where I heard Jaehyun vomiting. No, please! I still have time! We still have a few days!

I knocked once and saw him weak and pale in front of the sink, and my heart went cold with fear. From my father's story when he became immortal he told me it was the most excruciating pain he had felt in his entire life before he died and came back as an immortal.

I'm inexperienced (yet) with that kind of pain since I was already born as a god, but the pain was already evident in Jaehyun's face as I walked towards him to help.

"Babe...I don't feel so good," Jaehyun said weakly.

I don't know what to say because inside I'm already blaming myself for not telling him earlier. I kept fooling myself that my reason was that I don't want to ruin our honeymoon but in reality, I was only denying myself of the inevitable.

The effects only took a second while Jaehyun and I are already slumped on the bathroom floor. I didn't realize that I was already crying as I repeated that 'I'm sorry' over and over again. All I can do was hugged him tight and prayed that this will pass soon.

A few minutes passed and Jaehyun laid there without moving, his heartbeat so low that I can't even feel his pulse. He was so pale and cold to the touch. I knew I needed to call my family so we can prepare, but I just sat there for a moment longer, rocking back and forth as I cried over him.

I felt Peanut moved in my tummy out of concern, alerting me and asking me to be strong in this situation. So, with all the energy left in me, I stood up and left Jaehyun on the bathroom floor as I staggered towards the living room to get the house phone.

"Fuck!" I muttered when I was about to dial but remembered that I don't know anybody's number. We left our phone in Jeju before we went to Italy and we still haven't received it back.

Frantic, I looked around the house not sure what to do. Damn, I can't project yet since it's not yet night time! What should I do?! What, Jungwoo?! WHAT?!

Then, I suddenly remembered that I still have one lifeline, one form of communication with my sibling. "EKO!!" I called out. Instantly, the fire lizard appears in a sudden burst of magical flame. He was on top of the fireplace, awaiting my instruction.

"Dal-nim Jungwoo," he hissed.

"Bring my family here as quickly as you can," I commanded with urgency.

"Yes, Moon God," he replied before disappearing in flames again.

I ran towards the bathroom as fast as my pregnant tummy can handle and knelt beside Jaehyun again. I took his hands in mine, hoping it will get warm again if I rubbed it fast enough. I started to count the seconds and felt frustrated that time can be this slow. I was about to have a mental breakdown when suddenly I heard the doorbell rang outside.

Knowing it must be my family, I quickly ran outside the bathroom and pressed the button on the intercom to open the front gate. Then, I sprinted towards the front door to let them in but before I can even reach the door, I slipped on the smooth marble floor and fell hard on the ground. I winced as I felt the momentary pain, my eyes stinging as I tried to pull myself up and opened the door as if nothing happened.
