Chapter 37 : Turn Over a New Leaf

"Close your eyes," Jungwoo said right after he gave me a sweet kiss to stop me from crying. 

"Why?" I asked as I wiped away my tears and snot on my right arm sleeve. Too much from being manly, I cried twice now within a day. 

"Because we're going to travel through moonlight. And this is your first time, you might get sick and dizzy. So close your eyes as I ask you to." he replied while he stood up and stretched.

"Can't we just take the car?" 

"Babe, are you expecting me to drive?" he gave out a small amusing laugh before he stretched out his hand so he can help me stand up.

After considering what he had said, I wiped my hands at the back of my jeans and closed my eyes. "There, I closed my eyes. Now what?" I murmured when I suddenly felt his slender arms around my waist. 

"Don't open them until I say so," he directed. He whispered something in gibberish and instantly I felt like my soul was force out of my body. It felt good and cool, like a weightless free wind bringing in the cool night breeze in the middle of a warm humid summer. 

But after a few seconds, the out-of-the-body feeling was over and I've finally felt the hard ground under my feet. "You can open your eyes now babe," he ordered as he stepped back and released me from his embrace.

I opened my eyes rather quickly and instantly regretted it. Nausea suddenly hit me in waves as I try to find my balance. "Woah!" Jungwoo exclaimed as he caught onto me while I swayed to the left, almost toppling over to the ground.

"Sorry, I should've said to open your eyes 'slowly'." he apologized as he took one of my arms and placed it on his shoulder. He slowly guided me inside the house as I tried to control my legs to work properly. But it was an effort that made my forehead sweat in concentration, my legs felt like jelly, wobbling around here and there. With much time and effort, we managed to get inside my room without accidents. He helped me lay down on the bed with a frown on his face. 

"If I knew you'd be this sick, I should've taken the chance to drive," he mumbled while removing my shoes. 

"Sorry, babe," 

"Oh! Shush! I'll consider this as payment for making me cry over that day!" he chided before settling down beside me. He made himself comfortable and leaned back on the headboard, then he asked me to lay my head on his lap so he can wipe my sweat with a clothe he found lying somewhere. 

"Babe...I--" I started.

"I know," he intervened while slowly wiping my sweat. "Babe...I want us to be honest this time," he added as he looked at me in the eye with all seriousness on his face.

"So, I'll start first. Okay?" Jungwoo swiped a strand of hair away from my eyes and started caressing my head before he continued with what he wanted to say.

 "I kinda know that something might happen. I can't tell you the exact details, because I'll be breaking celestial laws but...I've known about it, since a few days after the 'kidnapping' thing. Although, I didn't know that it was to this extent. I didn't know that my feelings for you overwhelmed my reason and my being. I love you that much babe." he stated and gave me a pinch on the cheek.
