Chapter 10

Stranger: "Tell me!"

Military Man: "A... few... miles west..."

You look at his bloodied and bruised face. A smile appears on your face.

Military Man: "They'll... kill you... before you... even get... close."

Stranger: "No, they won't."

You pull the knife from his leg and stab him in the side of the head. You drag his body near some bushes and hide him in them. You do the same with the other three bodies. You grab a glass cup of whiskey and dump it on the bodies. You then throw the glass down next to them.

You pull the hood of your cloak back up and start heading west.

You look up as you stand before the tall gate, surrounded by wooden walls. You step closer and see the guards appear and aim their weapons at you.

Guard: "Hands up!"

You slowly lift them up.

Guard: "Who are you?"

Stranger: "My name is... Zelus. You know, the god?"

Guard: "What are you doing here?"

Zelus: "I would like to speak to your leader, or in this case, your general."

Guard: "Hood off."

Zelus: "Excuse me?"

Guard: "Hood. Off."

Zelus: [sigh] "Very well."

You slowly move your left arm and peel back your hood. You notice the guards immediately put their fingers on their triggers as if they're about to shoot you.

Guard: [turns to other guard] "It's him."

Zelus: "I know what you're thinking-"

Guard: "Quiet!"

He pulls out his radio.

Guard: "General, he's here."

He puts the radio away and signals his men to leave the tower.

Zelus: "So? Can I-?"

Guard: "I said quiet!"

You hear the growl of a walker behind you. The man switches his sight and kills the walker. He then goes back to aiming at you.

Zelus: [mumbles] "You're going next."

The gate opens and you see a tall man walking towards you with a small group behind him. He pulls out a pistol and aims it right at your face once he's close enough.

General: "Give me one reason why I shouldn't blow your head off right now."

Zelus: "Because... I'm not the person you're looking for?"

General: "Who are you then? If you're not Y/N L/N."

Zelus: "My name is Zelus. Just ask your lap dog up there."

You hear the man shout profanities at you. This only makes you smile.

General: "You're lying."

Zelus: "Tell me, general. Does Y/N L/N have scars like these?"

You show off the scars all over your face.

Zelus: "And before you answer, I'm extremely positive he wouldn't do this to himself."
