Chapter 29

Clem: "Side piece?"

Y/N: "I already told you it's not like that."

Clem: "Then what is it like?"

Y/N: "She's just a friend! You told me you'd believe me no matter what."

Clem: "Oh, because your eagerness to come and save her seems so convincing."

Y/N: "She's a fucking friend. We just had one encounter and that was it. You can ask Carlos."

Clem: "Like I would believe him."

Y/N: "Look..."

You take her hands and bring her in closer.

Y/N: "We're just friends, nothing more. You mean everything to me, I would never lie to you like that."

You stare into each other's eyes before you lean in to kiss her. You can tell she's still a little upset after you pull away.

Y/N: "We can talk about this later, I need to go talk to the leader."

You walk away from her and ask for directions to Meghan. A bystander tells you she's in the bar so you head there. When you enter, you see Lesly and Meghan sitting by the counter.

Y/N: "You okay, ladies?"

You see Meghan look away as Lesly crosses her arms.

Lesly: "You said you were going to come here earlier, right?"

Y/N: "Yeah."

Lesly: "What for?"

Y/N: "I wanted to talk to you, to you Meghan."

She turns her head to listen to you.

Y/N: "Those people have been causing me problems for a while now. If they start a war with us, I'd like it if we had some help."

She scoffs and shakes her head.

Meghan: "What did I tell you when you first got here? Keep your problems away from here!"

Y/N: "I know, and I'm sorry, Meghan. I had no idea they would attack here."

Meghan: "Yeah, I'm sure. They just waltz in here looking for you as they killed my people!"

Y/N: "Look, I apologize for what happened. I promise we'll get them back, but-"

Meghan: "But what? You need help? You need allies to help fight in this war that was caused by you!?" She says as she stands up.

Lesly: "Meghan..."

Meghan: "Because if that's what you're looking for, you can look somewhere else."

Y/N: "I know you're upset, Meghan. I would be too, but I promise I had no idea they would come here. I don't even know why they would think I'd be here. You saw how big in numbers they are."

Meghan: "That's not my problem, it's yours! That's why I told you to keep them away from here. And now, one third of my community is dead!" She says while furiously tapping you with her finger.

Clementine enters the bar and slowly walks behind you.

Lesly: "Meghan, lets just talk about this-"

Meghan: "What? Do you insist we help them? After what happened?"

Lesly: "Let's just calm-"

Meghan: "Calm down? Did you forget I almost died? You almost died? How that bastard treated you?"

Y/N: "What did he do?"

Lesly: "That doesn't matter right now. Meghan, let's just talk about this, please."
