1 Month Later

Carlos POV

You set your drink down and rub your hands together from how cold it is. You look through the bar doors and stare at the pale white snow as it piles down outside.You sit at the bar with a drink in front of you. You left Sunset yesterday to take a break from all the sadness back there.

Lesly: "No."

Carlos: "Come on, please?"

Lesly: "I've told you this before and I'll tell you again, no."

Carlos: "I've asked you this before and I'll ask you again, will you-?"

Lesly: "Carlos! Shut up!"

You grunt and finish your drink.

Carlos: "I'm sure if Y/N asked you, you would happily say yes."

Lesly: "What does this have to do with him?"

You go to say something but shrug your shoulders instead.

Carlos: "Nothing."

You grab a beer from over the counter and toss a token.

Lesly: "How is he?"

Carlos: "I don't know."

Lesly: "How the hell do you not know?"

Carlos: "He doesn't live in Sunset anymore."

Lesly: "What? Why not?"

Carlos: "His people turned on him and voted for him to be exiled a month ago."

She looks at you in disbelief.

Lesly: "Are you serious?"

You nod and take a sip from your beer. She stays silent for a bit before she throws her rag down and walks out of the bar. You sigh and chug the rest of your beer.

Later In The Day

Carlos: "I don't know!"

Zelus scoffs and leans back in his chair.

Zelus: "What did I tell you to do?"

Carlos: "It's not as simple as it sounds. The girl
won't even talk to me!"

Zelus: "Pry it out of her. He must've told her where he went."

Carlos: "I talked to all of them and they don't know. She hasn't said a word to me all month."

He rubs his face out of frustration. The door opens and Jason and Mark walk into the room.

Zelus: "How'd it go?"

Jason sighs and sits down on the chair.

Mark: "Nothing."

Zelus groans in frustration.

Zelus: "What the hell are you guys still doing here if you can't even do your jobs!?"

The room stays silent.

Mark: "They said anything about me?" He asks you.

Zelus looks at you as he waits for your response.

Carlos: "Clementine found out a day after Y/N was exiled. They've had heavy patrols this whole month."

Everyone sits in the room silently while frustrated.

Jason: "Jesus Fucking Christ..." You hear him mumble.

You look at Zelus who is looking through the window.
