Chapter 37

Mark POV

Mark: "What happened to staying there?"

Carlos: "It's boring here. That guard, Reyes, is acting like he runs the place. I won't be surprised if he starts a revolución."

You stay silent as you see Zelus abruptly walk away from Jason. He looks confused and turns to talk to his men. You catch Jason's eye and he starts walking towards you.

Jason: "Mark!"

Carlos: "Uh oh, trouble in paradise?" He says through the staticky radio.

You chuckle and set the radio down as he approaches you.

Mark: "What?"

Jason: "What the hell is wrong with Zelus?"

Mark: "What the hell are you talking about?" You say annoyed.

Jason: "He doesn't listen to what I'm telling him. He thinks this is a game!"

Mark: "And I'm supposed to know why...?"

He's about to speak but is interrupted by the sound of gunshots all around Sunset. You get up and see the guards in the watchtowers being picked off. All of Zelus's men and The Maulers panic and head towards the gate.

Mark: "Ey, Carlos. I got to go, man. You do whatever the hell you want."

Carlos: "¿Qué pasa?"

You put the radio away and look at the side walls. You see what looks like grappling hooks at the top.

Mark: "They're coming over the walls!"

Y/N POV

Y/N: "Go! Go!"

You signal the people in the trucks. You and some of the others had put rocks and other items under the gate so it would open easier to open when rammed into. The trucks drive in full speed as they crash into the gate, giving the people climbing the walls enough time.

You walk in with the army behind you as you shoot down Zelus's men. Bullets hit the ground near your feet so you take cover behind a stack of crates. Lesly takes cover next to you as she continues shooting.

Lesly: "I see Jason."

You both see Meghan unloading her rifle at the men. Lesly calls out to her but she ignores her and continues moving forward. She looks at you and you both nod at each other before Lesly follows her behind.

Clem POV

You look outside of your window and see an army of people from Harmony making their way inside. You immediately back up and turn to Violet and AJ.

Clem: "They're here."

You walk into your room and pull out a pistol and a couple of clips from under your mattress. You pull back the hammer and walk back into the living room.

Violet: "I need to go."

Clem: "No, you both stay here and take care of Ellie."

Violet: "What about Lucy!?"

Clem: "If I find her I'll bring her to you. There's a pistol under your bed to protect yourselves."

You kneel down in front of AJ and hug him.

AJ: "Be careful."

Clem: "I will."

You stand back up and hug Violet as well.

Clem: "I'll be back as soon as possible."

Y/N POV

You move behind the houses to get a flank on them. You aim your rifle as soon as someone appears in front of you.
