Clementine x Male Reader: Enemy Within

Chapter 27

Y/N POV

You race to Harmony with the other trucks behind you.

Clem: "You're going a little too fast, no?"

Y/N: "It's fine."

There's silence for a few minutes.

Clem: "Who's Lesly?"

You glance at her and then back at the road.

Y/N: "She's a friend."

Clem: "You didn't mention anything about her."

Y/N: "I didn't think I needed to."

You both sit in silence for a couple of seconds.

Clem: "No matter what, I believe you."

You nod without taking your eyes off the road.

Zelus POV

You put the radio away and walk in front of the people.

Zelus: "I guess I was wrong, he isn't here. He will be here soon though. I know you all would not like to hear this, but many of you won't survive this."

You smile as you see fear swarm over people's faces. You walk back over to the soldier with the woman. You grab her by the arm and stand her in front of Lesly.

Zelus: "What do you think I should do to her, huh? Since she likes to play hero."

Lesly: "Let her go. Don't kill her because she was braver than you."

Zelus: [chuckle] "You know, I thought about that..."

You push the woman in front of you and blow her brains out in front of Lesly. You hear people gasp as the woman's body drops to the floor. You look at Lesly who has blood drops on her face and holds a mad look.

Zelus: "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I get blood on you?"

You hold her by the back of her head and smear the blood off of her.

Zelus: "Gotta make sure you look good for when Y/N comes."

Jason: "Zelus."

Zelus: "Yes?"

Jason: "I just got confirmation of trucks moving towards Harmony."

You look at Lesly and the people as you grin.

Zelus: "Get in position." You tell Jason.

You walk behind Lesly and hold her still. You point your revolver at her lower back.

Zelus: "Let's see how much he really cares about you all."

Y/N POV

You arrive at Harmony and see the gates open with a bunch of trucks piled near it. Everyone gets out and gets ready. You aim your rifle and motion everyone to follow you.

Y/N: "Stay close to me." You say to Clementine.

She nods and you all slowly make your way towards the gate. Once you reach it, you see most of the community on their knees in the middle.

A bunch of soldiers pop up from their cover and aim their weapons at you. Your people do the same but neither begin shooting.

Zelus: "Well, look who it is."

You see your imposter walk through the crowd of people while holding Lesly hostage. You immediately aim your rifle at him.

Zelus: "Y/N L/N. The reason these people are on their knees about to be executed."
