It's now night time. I can tell because it's very dark here, with no light nor a peaking hole that the moonlight can peak on.

I drifted back to my unwanted thoughts and reminisce the situation that I am in right now and still think it's not true because I refuse to believe it is real.

I came back to reality when the man who ushered me to 'my' cell approached me and offered me food.

He also has a lamp with him that made me finally have a view of my surrounding.

"The captain told me to give this to you so that you will not be dead by tomorrow" he said with his mocking eyes and ugly smirk. His smirk is uncomparable to Fabian's though.

Wait. No!

Why do I always think of him in times and situations like this? Well this is the only time but still.

It's irritating.

I groaned and dragged myself into the corner of 'my' cell, away from the man who is offering me food.

"You know, if you will not eat, your death will be boring and peaceful, and that's no fun, right?" he said and I ignored him.

" If you eat this and have some energy, you will have an amazing and exciting death in the near future, don't you want that?" He continued, still with his mocking eyes and ugly smirk.

I didn't look at him and just completely ignored his entire existence and his remarks.

After awhile of complete silence, he sighed and placed the food in the wooden floor and went back to his station in front of 'my' cell.

He placed the lamp beside him and sat down...

Hmm...

How should I get out and escape from here?

Oh yeah!

I remembered that enchanters can control the minds of anyone they desire.

I smiled because of my own thoughts but after about about three seconds, I frowned and sighed because I realized and remembered that I can't control anyone who is awake and in control of their own thoughts. That will need a higher amount of power and I am still not a very experienced enchanter.

Enchanters like me can only manipulate and control someone if they are not in complete control of their minds, or if they are asleep!

Yes, asleep!

I looked at the man who is in front of 'my' cell and searched if there is any key with him that can open the cell.

It's my lucky day because I found the key that is resting into the left part of his jeans, secured into his pocket and peaking just a little that is almost unnoticed.

This will be easy, now all I need to do is wait untill he fell asleep.

I observed and watched him for about an hour and when he yawned, I knew that any minute now, he will fall asleep.

I smiled to myself and prepared myself for my plan.

About four minutes after, I saw the pirate zombie finally slouch in his seat and fell to sleep.

"I enchant the man's mind be in my possession, manipulation enchantment" I casted. "Release me from this cell" I ordered the man into my mind.

He lazily stood up while also lazily reached the king from his pocket. He then slowly opened the cell and when it finally opened, I immediately went out of it.

Now what?

I don't know what is my next move.

After a while of thinking, a thought quickly crossed my mind.

"Go look for a small boat for me and prepare it. Comeback here if you're done.." I ordered the man again.

He quickly went out and I went back inside the cell without locking it to feign my freedom. If someone finds out that I am free from this cell, I know that I will be doomed. Not that I can't fight but still.

After many minutes of waiting, the man went back to me, indicating that the boat I asked is already prepared and waiting for my use.

I quickly went out of the cell and went upstairs, silently. I followed the man that is ushering me to where the boat is while looking around cautiously in case someone spots me. I was lucky as no one is around that time who can spot my escape.

Well, it's time to say goodbye to this awful ship.

I quickly jumped to the boat and quickly paddled away from sight of the ship.

A sigh of relief that I didn't know I was holding up to now escaped my mouth when I managed to finally move away from the ship. The only problem right now is the direction I am heading to. It's nearly morning and I can already see the sun peaking to the endless sea. I looked around me and found an island from the East of me, but still a little  far away from where I am.

I quickly changed the direction of the boat and directed it to the direction of the island, not minding the distance.

The map that the Goddess has given to me is useless right now because I haven't completed the second part of the quest, thus the direction to where the next destination of the quest is still unknown and I am sure, the map will not reveal it untill I complete what I need to complete.

About two hours of sailing, I finally reached the island and a sigh of relief escaped my mouth once again because of exhaustion. I feel like sleeping for two days because of how tired I am right now but I still roamed around the island, hoping for a place to stay for at least a night or two.

Upon strolling, I learned the the island is called czinghuar (pronounced as ching-huwa).

I have read a lot of things about this island and it made me smile because I have read that shifters are super welcoming creatures, much like fairies and elves.

Hopefully I can find a place that I can stay for just a day or two.

While roaming around, an old man, about 60 to 65 years old, approached me.

"Hello young man, are you new here?" He politely asked to me.

I smiled at him and nodded to his question, he also smiled back at me, giving him a welcoming and friendly vibe.

"Yes sir, I am new here. I am just roaming around hoping to find a place I can stay for a night or two.." I revealed to him, leaving the part where I had just escaped a pirate ship and from the people who wants to harm me.

The old man smiled wider.

"It's your lucky day then because I am looking for someone who can accompany me to my house because you know, I am already old. Not to mention that I am all alone.." he said, laughing at the last part of what he said.

I looked at him skeptically.

"I kid you not, young man.  If you want, you can come with me to see and examine the house, the only problem is that, you will help me do the chores in the house, noo rental fees needed." he continued, still wearing his wide smile.

" I'd love to" I replied with the same wide smile.

We went back to his place and reached it for about a few minutes and though his house is not huge, I loved it still because it has the welcoming and comfortable ambiance that made me feel safe instantly when we entered.

"You can stay here for however long you want" He said when we are finally inside the house.

I smiled at him and thanked him not only for allowing me to stay at his place but also for trusting me, a stranger.

Though,

I know that I must not stay here for long because I know that Arvar will search for me and will try to get me back for his sick plans.

Now, I need to be very careful and finish the quest.
