Chapter Nine

NAKATITIG lang ang dalagang si Killani sa kisame dahil hindi niya pa gustong umalis sa kama, kaka-gising lang nito at wala kaagad sa mood. Huminga siya ng malalim bago tumingin sa malaking bintana, ngunit natatakpan iyon ng makapal na kurtina. She heaved a deep sigh before pulling herself up from the bed and opened the curtain, the calm sight of the unbusy city welcomed her.

Bright sun rays immediately filled the whole room, a tiny smile appeared on her lips. It's a new day, Killani caressed her tiny-still stomach while looking outside the window. Then a scowl suddenly made its way to her face, she feels bored and weak. She needs to go out. That. Fast.

"It's disrespectful to eat without a shirt on." Bungad niya bago umupo sa harap ng binata, kaagad naman itong napatingin sa kaniya.

"For the food, you're rich; go put some clothes on." Sabi niya at nag-umpisa nang kumain, napataas ang kilay nito nung tumayo si Didrik at sinunod nga ang sinabi niya.

"By the way, kailangan kong lumabas sa penthouse na 'to." Nanigas ang binata sa sinabi niya.

"So you're leaving me too? You, girls are so predictable; no wonder---"

"Anong pinagsasabi mo diyan, Gustavsson? Wag ka ngang ano, sabi ko kailangan kong lumabas dahil nababagot na ako. Wala akong sinabi na iiwanan kita, babalik din naman ako." Ngumuso si Killani sa huling sinabi, matapang niyang tinignan ang binata na nakatingin sakaniya ng malamig.

"You're not leaving." She sighed, alam niya na iyon ang isasagot ng binata.

"I'm leaving, and I'm going to roam around inside the mall. You, can't stop me." Matigas na sabi niya.
