Chapter Twenty two

"Here." Sabi ng binatang si Didrik saka isinubo ang mint sa baba ni Killani.

Killani stood up, fixed her messy hair before sitting beside him again. "Thank you." She simply said.

Didrik was smiling from ear to ear because of happiness, seeing his wife standing there while announcing; he can't help but to feel proud of her. She speaks with so much professionalism and misconduct at the same time, how cool is that?

Bumaling siya sa asawa at tumitig dito, sinong mag aakala na ganitong babae ang nararapat sakaniya? Ang swerte naman ni Didrik, tumingin sakaniya ang dalaga na may halong pagtataka.

"Anong tinitingin tingin mo diyan?" Tanong ni Killani habang kina-kabit ang seat belt para sa take-off ng eroplano.

Maslalo lang lumapad ang ngiti ni Didrik dahil sa tanong nito. "Nothing, it's just that I realized the reason why I love you so fucking much."

Napailing iling nalang si Killani habang nakangiti, ang aga aga kinikilig na siya sa asawa. Nakatikim lang ng ihip trabaho, naging ganyan na. Kayo nalang bahala mag translate sa English.

Although Didrik is always sweet naman, he never forgets to say I love you, the day wouldn't end with him not giving her affection. And honestly? She is the luckiest wife of all.

They are lucky with each other, as simple as that.

Loving is easy, but staying in love is not. The least they can do is to make it work.

Pinag-krus niya ang kamay bago nagsalita. "Oh? Ano ang dahilan?" She proceeded on buckling her husband's seat belt while waiting for him to answer.

"In as much as you're amazing, from head to toe, inside and out. Mental and physical, everything about you is amazing. As days go by, I will do my best to be better and I vow that someday.. I will hold your hand as a man who is at his best so that I could be someone you can be proud of. Not in a field I work in, not in fortunes I've earned; but for how far I've become."

Killani stared at him in wonderment, just a sentence from him and her heart is already filled with warmth, this man.. Is her greatest destination. The greatest dream she has ever achieved.

Didrik smiled again. "Thank you for buckling my seat belt, for I will never let you go. I will never leave you hanging in the air, even if the sky wants to cause turbulence. We will fall together."

Unti unting nawala ang ngiti ni Killani saka kumunot ang noo niya, Didrik saying these things aren't unusual but this one feels different. It made her heart palpitate in nervousness.

"Baby.. Why are you saying that? Mamamatay ba tayo? Is this plane going to crash?"

Tumawa si Didrik saka pinisil ang pisngi niya. "No, no of course.. I'm just saying this because I want you to know how much I love you."

She slowly nodded her head. "Okay, I love you too. You also know that right?"

"I know." Sagot ng binata pagkatapos ay sumandal ito sa upuan.

"Gutom ka na ba?" Tanong niya ulit bago binuksan ang maliit na bag na naglalaman ng pagkain nila.

She took out the tumbler, inserted the straw before giving it to Didrik. Hindi kasi nito na-inom ang smoothie na ginawa kanina, he kissed her 'thanks' then took a sip on his drink.

Habang umiinom ang binata ay binuksan naman ni Killani ang tupperware, hinanda ang kuwabertos saka linagay sa gitna nila ni Didrik. Akmang kakain na ang binata nung tinampal ni Killani ang kamay nito.
