Chapter Twenty Three
"FUCK, my body clock sucks."
Killani rested her leg across Didrik's abdomen and stared at his frustrated face, the man is shirtless so it's a win-win situation. She could stare at his handsome face and feel his hard abs at the same time, okay lang naman 'yun diba? Didrik is her husband, they're married in the paper but it's still marriage so what?
But she'd rather sleep in the state of feeling like passing out because of sleepiness, in that way; she'll surely drift off in 5 seconds.
"But you used to live here, I mean you grew up here so.. Why is your body clock fucked up? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping this time." Baleng wala na sabi ni Killani.
He tsked. "That's the key word, 'used to'. I don't know, maybe I'm just used to Philippine time. Why is Sweden gotta be 6 hours behind?"
Baka sumagot."
Didrik sighed before rubbing his hand on Killani's back. "You're such a pilosopa."
She snorted. "And you're conyo."
Napaisip si Didrik ng mga bagay na pwede nilang gawin, if they'll be up all night then why not waste their time on something? They can't go anywhere because the stores are closed except the groceries. Speaking of groceries, his pantry is empty because no one has been re-stocking it which is fine.
"Do you want to go somewhere?" Tanong niya sa kasintahan.
"As if bukas parin ang mga lugar na nasa choices ko no." Sagot ni Killani sa 'obvious ba' na boses.
Didrik just shrugged off his shoulders, she's right though. Whatever place she has in mind is probably already closed, he sighed; looks like they will be heading to the nearest grocery store. Limited lang ang pagkain na pinabili niya kanina na para kay Killani lang, he can't just starve his wife hmm?
"Let's go, friend."
"C'mon bestfriend, may pupuntahan tayo diba?"
She gave him a smirk before heading to the door, napalitan ng gulat ang ekpresyon niya. Killani roamed her eyes around the bright hallway, no, it was like a terrace. Where she could see the gigantic chandelier and the entrance from where she stands, wow; Didrik wasn't kidding.
Every corner has a gold lining, there are gold markings on the wall too. So the room's wall is made of stone except on the outside, whenever she looks; Killani has to keep on closing her mouth because she feels bewitched by these.
Killani was just joking and she's not planning on stopping anytime soon.
