CHAPTER 16
“I'm here, I won't leave you,”
That's the only clear thing I could remember from what happened. I feel a hammer banging on my head kasabay ng mabilis na pagtibok ng puso ko.
I can't even feel my whole body and the pain on it is very evident and hard to bare with. Sinubukan kong imulat ang mga mata ko and the white ceiling was the first thing that caught my sight.
I roamed my eyes around and I saw my Dad, preparing some breakfast while my Mom is sleeping beside me, holding my hand.
I could feel also na may benda ako sa ulo at ang pamamaga ng mukha ko. Tears starts to fall from my eyes nang biglang bumalik sa isip ko ang nangyari. “No! Please, don't!” I begged, crying.
“Baby, you're awake! Shh. Tahan na, nak. Nandito na si Mommy and Daddy,” Mom hugged me tightly and I could feel my Mom's tears on my shoulder.
“Pinagbayad ko na ang lahat ng gumawa sa'yo nito, nak. Pinagbayad ko na.” I feel shiver down my spine from what Dad said dahil I know him. He has the biggest and warmest heart, but he had also the heartless one when he's mad.
“How are you, nak? Anong masakit?” Mom scanned my whole at halos lahat ng may galos ako ay kinikisan niya. “Mommy is here na, nak. Hindi ko ulit hahayaan na may manakit sa'yo.”
“I-i'm fine, Mom. Thank you,” I smiled. “Gaano na po ako katagal natutulog, Dad?” I felt that I was overslept because of the stiffness I was feeling and my whole body was so anxious.
“5 days to be exact, nak,” Dad answered. “Kakaalis lang ng mga kaibigan mo kanina. Ayaw pa nga umalis ni Sky. Pinilit ko lang dahil may klase pa siya. He's always been here every night then uuwi sa umaga to attend his class,” He continued that made my heart beats so fast.
“He's so concern about you, nak. Nung nakita namin siya ng Dad mo right after mong maisugod sa ospital, he was really devastated. Ayaw na niya umalis sa tabi mo and I smell something fishy, nak,” Mom teased habang nakangisi sa akin kaya I shook my head immediately.
“Mom, we're nothing but friends. That's all,” I smiled and laughed the pain off. I'm being too harsh on myself.
“By the way, na-expelled na ang mga lalaking involved on your case while under suspension ang apat na babae. Anong gusto mong gawin sa kanila, nak? I'll let you decide,” Dad asked.
Actually, I don't have any idea about that. Kahit gano'n ang ginawa sa akin ni Trisha, I don't want to steal from her what she'd been started. We're on our 2nd year and honestly, I'm mad, pero kung magpapadala ako sa galit ko, wala na din akong pinagkaiba sa kaniya.
About the boys, that serves them right. I don't want to feel like I'm always living in a nightmare that I can't scape from.
“We have nothing to do with them, Dad. Pahinga lang naman po ang kailangan ko, right?” Mom nodded as I gave them a soft smile dahil alam ko naman na maiintindihan nila ako.
“Why so kind, nak?” Mom let out a heavy sighed and looked away. Minsan nakakapagod maging mabait. Napapagod ang isip ko, but my heart automatically did.
