"Just focus on the value of this and set aside the other one. The formula of this one will get the value of the current percentage,"

I massaged my temple out of frustration dahil kanina pa ako nagmememorize ng lesson pero wala talagang napasok sa isip ko.

"Damn you, Demon! I can't focus now!"

"You're a thing. Now, you're something and I'm afraid that you turn into everything,"

His words are keep on repeating in my head and it sucks my whole. I can't focus. Bakit ba kasi ang laki ng epekto sa akin ng Demon na 'yon? I supposed to hate him pero bakit ganito.

"Okay, class, prepare your papers and we will have our long quiz for today!" Our professor announced and my eyes got wide open.

I thought it was just a quiz! What the hell was happening to the world!? 'Di naman kami na-inform na long quiz pala. Kung kelan naman hindi ako nakapag review nang maayos kelan pa may long quiz. What a lucky day, Emy!

I sighed and I suddenly glanced at my varsity blocmate, Alice. Just like Mica, I envied her for being part of the team. Sana talaga makuha kami ni Mica.

"Okay Emy, just inhale, exhale and relax. Just think about the shopping later." I composed myself as I listen carefully to our prof's rules.

Guide me Lord.

The long quiz got started at habang binabasa ko ang tanong, 'di ko maiwasang hindi sumakit ang ulo. God, ang laki ng epekto sa akin ng Demon na 'yon. I'm already mental blocked.

"Exchange your paper to your back!" I silently give my paper to my back and I feel disappointed for myself. I am aware that some questions are really hard. I'm not even sure kung tama ba or mali ang sagot ko. My mind was a mile away from me right now.

After checking, ini-aanounce na ng prof ang result. Kapag hindi ka kaagad nabanggit, it means you failed or low score lalo na kapag pahuli pa nabanggit ang pangalan mo.

Alphabetical ang pag-aanounce ng ranking ng scores and I'm starting to get nervous nang banggitin ang Hernandez pero hindi nabanggit ang Gozon. I can't believe this. I sighed, putting my head on my hand and looking down.

"Heaven Emerald Gozon, perfect score."

My eyes grew bigger as my jaw dropped, still shocked on what's happening. Seriously? Perfect ako? I doubt it!

Biglang bumalik ang sigla ko dahil I didn't expect this. Thanks to my brain, nakikisama siya kaya kahit anong gawing pang-pepeste sa akin ng Demon na 'yon, hindi ako papaapekto. Sino ba siya?

Siya lang naman ang sumira ng dream peaceful college life ko.

Nagmamadali akong lumabas ng room because Mica and I have a plan to go to the mall to buy some stuffs na kakailanganin namin for our try out, but suddenly, with my luck, I saw the Demon, leaning against the wall outside the next bloc.

"Good mood ako, shut up!" I rolled my eyes at nilampasan na siya. I'm pretty sure na walang idudulot na maganda sa sistema ko ang lalaking 'yon.

I almost run when I noticed na super late na ako. For I know, anytime now ay tatawag si Mica to ask where the hell from mars am I.
