"I don't know." I cross my arms.

"I won't let you die." He says with a small smile.

"Go slow." I begin to walk toward him.

"It's a lot more dangerous if I go slow." He claims, getting on.

I lift my leg over the bike and sit. He hands me the black helmet, I never wore black.

"Hold on tight." He says.

"To what?" I ask.

"To me." He says obviously.

I flush, feeling embarrassed. Awkwardly, I wrap my arms around his torso. He chuckles before starting it up.

"You ready?" He looks back at me.

"Yeah." I gulp.

He kicks his foot up and we zoom off. My arms tighten around him, I look at the passing people as we go.

"When did you first drive this?" I ask.

"When I was fifteen." He says.

I nod, still holding on for dear life. When we get to school I get off quickly and give the helmet to him

"Thank you." I say smiling.

"Yeah." He shrugs.

"Why did you help me?" I ask.

"Do you want to be late?" He asks, ignoring my question.

"No, but-"

"Then go." He demands.

I nod, turning on my heel. As I walk, I can't wipe the smile off of my face. It was a one time thing, I know that. Why would Chloe's friend help me?

"Charlie, you're late." Ms. Charles calls.

"I'm so sorry, it won't happen again." I say sitting.

I open my notebook and grab my pencil while listening to the teacher.

"Where were you?" My best friend Madi asks.

"I'll explain at lunch." I say. Explaining now would be irritating. She nods and we continue to pay attention.

When I walk into the cafeteria, people are talking and jumping around. I ignore it and walk to my table.

"Hey Cat." I say sitting.

"What's up Charlie?" She smiles.

"What happened this morning?" Madi cuts in.

I sit down, "Well, my sister was going to make me skip school for a party."

"So how're you here?" Madi asks.

"Let her tell the dang story." Cat scolds.

I smile at the both of them before continuing, "This guy-"

"Oh a guy!?" Madi teases.

I roll my eyes, "He's my complete opposite for one and two, it wasn't like that."

"Sure." Cat says sarcastically.

"Anyways!" I laugh, "He drove me here for some reason."

"Who?" Madi asks.

"All I know is he's my sisters friend." I frown.

"Oh." The say in sync.

"He said he doesn't like her though." I say.

"What's his car like?" Cat asks.

"It wasn't a car." I smile.

"What was it then?" Madi asks.

"A motorcycle." I blush.

"You like them bad boys!" Cat teases.

"Shut up." I breathe, looking around paranoid.

"What's his name?" Madi asks.

"You're my best friends, so stay quiet." I say, "Cole."

"Cole Smith?" Cat asks.

"I don't know." I shrug, "I only saw him this morning."

"He's hot!" Madi squeals.

"Sh!" I hush.

They both giggle, "Well, you scored."

"I don't like him and he would never like me." I say.

"Everyone goes for the bad boy." Madi says.

We continue to eat and talk about random gossip. We never fit in with anyone else so we bonded and over the years we became best friends. I would trust them with my life, the last bell of the day rings. As much as I wanted to graduate and go to college, I hated school.

"I'll see you later Mads." I wave to her.

"Call me." She says pointing.

I nod and begin to head to Cat's locker. The halls are always packed so I push through people.

"Hey!" She squeals.

"Hi." I smile, "how am I going to get home?"

She shakes her head, "I got you."

I take her hand as we walk out the doors, "So this Cole."

"What about him?" I ask, groaning.

"Was he nice?" She asks.

"No." I shake my head, "Actually, he just gave me a ride but he wasn't the nicest."

"Bad boys," She laughs.

I slap her arm playfully, "Shut up."

"Do you like him?" She asks.

I shake my head, "How could I? He just gave me a ride and all I know is his name."

"You'll like him, soon." She says.

"Oh yeah? How do you know?" I ask, getting into her car.

"Call it a guess." She shrugs.

I laugh, looking out the window.

When I get home my mom stands with a glare and her hands on her hips. I set my bag by the door and look at her in confusion.

"Charlie Marie Miller." She says sternly.

"What?" I ask.

"I heard from your very sweet sister that you skipped school and rode around town with a stranger on his motorcycle." She says angrily.

"What? No, mo-"

"I don't want to hear it, your sister is looking out for you." She interrupts.

"Are you serious? She went to a party and wouldn't take me to school." I say, "He just took me there because I didn't wan to miss it."

"I'm supposed to believe you?" She asks, "That's funny, your sister has perfect grades."

"Only-"

"Go to your room." She says blankly.

"Mo-"

"Now." She says.

I pick my bag up and storm off to my room. My sister is the worst human being ever!

Cole's P.O.V.

Oliver - Dude, can you come get Chloe?

Me - What? no.

Oliver - Why?

Me - Because I don't like her and she has her own ride.

Oliver - I'm taking her car back to her house.

Me - Where the hell would I take her?

Oliver - A party.

Me - No. You guys broke up.

Oliver - Yeah.

Me - So stop being her little bitch.

Oliver - Fine, you ass.

Me - Bye.
