Charlie's P.O.V.

"What's so funny?" I ask, standing

"You thinking I ever cared about that." He says, "I only trusted Oliver my whole life, if I were going to use you, I'd never let you in."

I smile slightly.

"You're so fucking lucky to have friends and family, but I'm lucky to have you." He says, "Even as a friend." He says, "Oliver is great but you change the prospective, I love that."

"I'm sorry." I say.

"Don't be." He says, "It's normal with the way you'r sister has treated you, I care for you, and that's rare." He huffs, "You should know by now I'd never use you, I'd never risk this opportunity of knowing you."

"I feel bad still." I scoff.

"Don't." He sternly, "I forgive you but I should be the one apologizing for giving you that idea."

"How do I know you're not just saying you're fine?" I raise my voice, frowning.

"Because I fucking love you!" He yells frustratedly.

I step back in shock, "What?"

He places his hands over his face, "Get to school."

"No." I say, refusing.

He sits in his chair angrily, "Go."

"Cole, you can't just say that and send me away." I say.

"Why?" He asks, "That's what my dad did!"

"Cole, you're not your fucking dad." I say, "I don't know much about him but I don't see anything bad in you."

He looks up at me, "You don't know shit about him."

"But I know you!" I say.

"Really?" He asks, in a non believing tone.

"Yes, I know that you're nice and hard to know." I say, "You deny your feelings and you care for the people around you even if you don't admit it." I continue, "You're so special it's crazy, you drive me fucking insane, you're so confusing." I pace around, "You're protective." I laugh, "I thought it was bad but you're just proving to me how much you care." I say, "I was too dumb to see how much you did."

"Charlie." He says quietly, "Please go."

"Cole." I whine, "Don't send me away."

"Charlie, you think I want to?" He asks, "Just.... go."

I sigh and walk toward the door.

He loves me?

"Charlie." He calls.

"What?" I ask, sternly.

"See you at lunch." He says.

"Yeah, bestie." I say sarcastically.

"Please... don't make this harder." He sighs.

"Are you joking?" I ask, yelling again, "You told me you love me and now you're send me away!"

"I'll see you." He says.

I storm out of the room as tears roll.

What the hell?

How could he just say that?

Why?
