Charlie's P.O.V.
I sit at the lunch table, picking at my food with my fork.
"So he just sent you away?" Cat asks.
I nod slowly without looking at her, "Yeah."
"How?" Madi asks, "If he loves you, then why not make a move?"
"I have Tyler." I remind her.
"But do you want him? is the question." Cat sighs.
I think about it. If I the whole time I've been with Tyler, I've always thought of Cole, then did I?
I stand, "I don't think so." I say.
"Charlie?" Madi asks.
"What?" I ask, sitting.
She points across the cafeteria where Cole and Oliver stand.
Why would he show up now that we've spoken?
I take a deep breath and adjust myself.
"Hi guys," Oliver greets, sitting next to Cat.
I smile over at them admirably. Cat blushes as he places his arm around her shoulder.
"So cute!" Madi cheers.
Cole stares off into space, I play with my fingers. I can't stop staring at him in confusion. My fingers graze over cold medal, making me look at my fingers. The ring, I still had it. Cat looks over at me, I continue to stare at Cole.
"Charlie?" She asks.
I tear my eyes away as his go to me, "Hmm?"
"You want to go to the girl's room?" She asks.
I nod and stand up, making eye contact with him.
Madi ended up with us as well, we stand in the bathroom.
"Are you okay?" Madi asks.
I shake my head, "I ruined my chance with him, I'm so stupid!"
"No, you're just confused and it's normal." Cat encourages.
"He let me in." I rush out, "Me! and I was so blind."
"Charlie, stop." Madi says.
I look at her, taking deep breaths, "Okay."
"We'll hang out and you're going to have a nice night." Cat says.
I nod, "Yeah."
They both smile and hug me tightly. I wrap my arms around them while closing my eyes tightly.
"I love you guys." I whine.
"We love you!" Cat cheers.
We walk back out and sit at the table.
When the bell rings, we all stand other than Cole and Oliver.
Madi and Cat walk while talking but I stand still, looking at them. They stay silent while staring at the table. I walk up behind Cole and slide the ring off before placing it in front of him. He looks up at me and I turn, walking away. As I take steps, I hear them speaking but not loud enough for me to hear. I won't need that anymore if we were going to pretend each other didn't exist.
