Charlie's P.O.V.

I lay in bed staring at the ring. It's so simple, but difficult. Why would he give it to me? I take it off  and twirl it around in my fingers. There's a knock at the door making me quickly slip the ring onto my middle finger.

"Call your friends and tell them good bye." Mom says frowning.

"Mom." I say sternly, "You're not about to send me away."

"You've gotten out of hand, drinking, partying." She says.

"Drinking?" I ask.

"Your sister showed me a video." She says placing the phone in my hand.

I watch the video, it's not me, but it sure looks like it. How can a mother not know the difference between her own children? My sister has crossed the line and so has my mother. The video ends making me look at my mother.

"Are you kidding?" I ask.

"What?" She asks back.

"That's Chloe trying to frame me." I say.

"You will go to any extent to get out of something Charlie." She says, shaking her head.

"Mom are yo-"

"I'm leaving, you have a day." She says.

"What? Mom!" I yell as she walks away.

I groan as I fall back onto my pillows. Madison and Cat are going to be mad. I'll tell them at school tomorrow, it won't be fun.

I wake up to my sister's screeches in the hall. The door swings open and my sister stomps in.

"Wake up rat!" She cheers, "Time for the last day of school!"

"Get out." I say calmly.

"Oh are yo-"

"I said get out!" I yell.

She pauses, looking shocked before walking out. I put on a pair of shorts and a pink tank top. After slipping on my pink flats, I walk into the bathroom. Since my sister always made me put my hair up, I hadn't seen it down for a long time. I slept with a pony tail in and I woke up and put it in a neater one. Adjusting my glasses, I walk out with a smile. If this was my last day of school for a while, I'm going to make it good.

I walk down stairs where my horrible sister and mother are sitting.

"Morning." Mom says.

I ignore her and grab my keys. Without thinking, I get in my car and drive away. When I arrive at school, I see Madi and Cat talking in the hall.

"Hey!" They squeal.

I hug them both tightly, "I love you guys."

"Charles?" Cat asks.

"I'm going to miss you." I say, smiling at both of them.

"What's going on C?" Madi asks.

"My sister has brain washed my mother and now I'm going to an institution, basically jail." I explain.

"What?" I hear from behind me.

I see Madi and Cat's faces beam before I turn. He stands tall with black jeans and a black t-shirt. Of course his beanie sits on his head, his face confused.

"Cole?" I ask.

"You're leaving?" He asks.

"Yeah, my sister has officially won." I say, "But I'll be back."

"How long?" Cat asks.

"A few months." I say with a frown.

"You'll come back as a boss ass bitch." Cat smiles.

"Language." I warn with a laugh.

I didn't like to curse, nor hear them curse.

"You'r sister is horrible." Cole says.

"Yeah." I sigh, "I know that better than anyone, I'm going to head to class."

"Why can't we all just skip and hang out today?" Madi asks.

"What if you had proof you weren't doing those things?" Cole asks, ignoring Madi's question.

"It wouldn't matter, my mom doesn't believe me." I say.

I leave them to stand in the hall. Cole shouldn't even be worried, he doesn't know me. Today I'll enjoy my classes and then be sent away.

My heart sinks when the last bell of the day rings. I stand and begin to make my way out of the school. There's a grip on my wrist making me look back to see the face I wasn't hoping for.

"Charlie." Cole says.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Where's this attitude from?" He asks.

"Oh, I don't know!" I say sarcastically, "It's not like I'm being sent to jail for something I didn't do and I have to leave my friends."

"Ch-" He begins.

"I was raised to believe family was the most important thing, but now that I don't have any, I've got you guys, my friends." I say.

He pauses, a smile begins to form, "Friend?"

I shake my head, "No... I jus-"

"Chill, they'll miss you." He says.

"Oh." I sigh, "It was for Oliver."

I take the ring off and hold it out to him.

"Keep it." He shakes his head.

I hesitantly put it on and turn to walk away.

"See you later Charlie." I hear in the distant.

I begin to run as my tears fall. When I get into my car I let everything out, how could my own twin be so cruel? I was so stupid to say he was my friend because he's not. My phone rings with 'Mom' flashed across it.

"What?" I ask, my voice raspy.

"Get home." She says.

I start up the car and begin to drive home. This will be a long journey, I hope to learn from.
