Charlie's P.O.V.

I sit across from cat and next to madi at the table. We were laughing at a joke Madi started but I spot two figures walking up. Cole and Oliver. I stare at them until they reach Cat.

Oliver taps her shoulder with a smile, "Hey, can we join?"

She turns slightly and looks up at him, "Sure?"

I freeze and shift to look at Cole who stands with his hand in his pockets. He looks uncomfortable, maybe he didn't want to see me.

Oliver sits next to Cat and Cole sits next to him.

Stop staring.

I can't. I keep staring until he makes eye contact, making me look back at Cat.

"What brings you guys here?" Madi asks.

Cole gives her a glance, "He made me."

"Whatever." Oliver rolls his eyes, "I just wanted to come hang out."

"We don't ever hang out." I point out.

Cole eyes me, his stare piercing through me.

"We can't hang out with our friends?" Cole asks, still staring.

I shake my head, "We just don't." I shrug.

"Well here it begins." Oliver interrupts, breaking the awkwardness.

Cat smiles weirdly at me, "What's the problem?"

"Nothing." I mumble.

I don't like hanging around him. Even when he's this far away from me, he feels like a magnet.

Oliver claps his hands, "This is awkward."

"I think we've established that." Cole grumbles.

"What's with the bad mood?" Oliver asks.

Me, Madi, and Cat just watch their conversation while eating.

"I don't want to be here." He shrugs.

"Great." Oliver sighs.

I smile at both of them, "Let's do something fun."

"Like what?" Madi asks.

"I don't know." I shrug, "How-"

"Then nothing." Cole interrupts.

"How about truth or dare." I carry on, glaring at him.

Oliver nudges him, trying to be subtle but I notice. They whisper a few things before Cole sits back up with a smile.

"Let's start." He says cheerful.

I roll my eyes, "Go first."

"Charlie, Truth or dare?" He asks.

I glare at him, "Dare."

"Brave." He comments.

"Not as hard as it is sitting here." I mumble low enough for me to only here.

"I dare you to call you'r mom and tell her you'll be home late." He says.

I shrug, not finding it hard at all. Pulling out my phone, I dial her number and place it on the table.

"Charlie?" She answers loudly.

Everyone holds their laughs as I answer.

"Yes, I'm just telling you I'll be home late." I say.

Cole wears an evil grin, 'Hang up' he mouths. I nod and end the call. Madi and cat giggle a little but I don't.

"What was the point?" I ask.

he shrugs, "Couldn't think of much.

"Cat, Truth or dare?" I smile at her.

"Truth." Speaks.

"Do you have feelings for Oliver?" I ask.

I almost feel bad for throwing her under the bus but it'll bring the tea.

She freezes and looks over to Oliver, he sits with a confused face.

"No." She shakes her head.

"It's called truth for a reason." Cole comments.

Oliver slaps his shoulder, making him laugh.

Cat stares over to Madi with joyful eyes.

"Mads, Truth of dare?" She asks.

"Dare." She says, challenging her.

"I dare you to go ask that teacher for detention." She points.

Madi rolls her eyes with a whine, "I don't want to!"

"Oh well." Cat laughs.

We watch as she walks over and begins to talk to the girl. None of us can hear her but the way she's acting is enough to make us laugh.

"Damn it!" Madi slams herself in her spot.

"Aw, you got detention." I tease.

Madi glares at me with a smile, "Fine, Truth or dare?" She says staring at me.

"Give the guys one." I wave.

She shakes her head, "Later."

"Fine." I sigh, "Dare."

"I dare you to go kiss him!" She points at Tyler.

"What?" I freeze.

I look over at Cole who now has his jaw clenched. Does her care?  Oliver leans to him and says something but Cole doesn't respond. He stares at me, almost madly?

I stand, making Madi cheer. Everyone else at the table seems uncomfortable. How could Madi do that?

"Go!" Madi cheers.

"She doesn't have to do it." Cole buts in.

I can't hold the smile that forms at his excuse.

"It's a dare." Madi shrugs.

I walk over to Tyler hesitantly and tap on his shoulder. He stops talking to his friends and turns to me. His smile appears and I pull him to me.
