"What're you doing here?" I ask, standing.
He laughs a little, "I'm stalking you."
"Seriously though?" I ask.
He walks up to me and takes a seat on the steps. I follow and look over to him.
"I just wasn't tired and you texted me." He shrugs.
Cole's P.O.V
"I just wasn't tired and you texted me." I shrug, lying.
I was tired but you texted me and I couldn't help myself.
"I didn't say come over." She laughs.
"I know." I shrug, "I didn't think you'd be out here anyway."
"I couldn't sleep." She admits.
"Why?" I ask curiously.
She shakes her head, "Nothing."
I wish it was because of me. Mine was because of her.
"Secret?" I ask, "From your friend?"
"We're friends but I'm not telling you." She says.
"Is it embarrassing?" I ask.
She shakes her head, "Kind of."
"Fine." I give up.
"When are you going to leave?" She asks.
"What?" I look over to her.
"Like, my porch?" She says, looking around.
"Oh. When you get tired." I say.
"Why?" She asks.
"Because we're friends." I smile.
She nods, whispering to herself. I want to know what she said, but I don't ask.
Charlie's P.O.V
"Because we're friends." He smiles.
"Friends." I whisper to myself.
He looks over to me, making me feel hot. I hated when he stared at me quietly. What if he though bad things? Like how ugly I was or how stupid I looked.
I stand in one quick motion and look down at him. He looks up at me curiously, my loose shorts sway. I place my hands on my legs to keep them from moving or showing anything.
He stands awkwardly, "I wasn't looking, you don't make me want to."
"Thanks." I say fakely. He really knows how to make a girl feel sexy.
"Oh! No, I didn't mean it like that." He fumbles.
I stand while watching him freak out. It's kind of cute, the way he does this.
He takes a deep breath, "I'm just not a dick."
"I get it." I shrug, "I'm not the sexiest person out there." I laugh.
It's silent for a while, he stares at me while I cross my arms. My smile falls, making the air more serious.
"I think that everything about you is sexy." He says genuinely.
I'm standing on this porch at night in front of this boy. His genuine answer makes me feel...comfort? I take a deep breath and look into his eyes.
I don't know what to say to him. He has made me speechless and for once it isn't by his looks. He grabs my hand while continuing to look at me. I take a sharp breath of air as he holds my hand in front of him. Pulling me closer, I move hesitantly with a shiver. He leans forward enough for me to feel his minty breath fan my face.
He places his face beside mine, "Good night." He whispers, pulling away.
As soon as his hand leaves mine, I almost whimper at the loss. I watch him walk away with one last glance.
