Charlie's P.O.V.
We pull in front of the big building. It's tall with white walls and a blue trim, the windows are shiny with brown curtains.
"Come on." My mother sighs. Her hair sits neatly on her shoulders, with her simple make-up paring nicely.
I follow her into the building until stopping at the front desk. A man with a suit approaches, his hair slicked back neatly.
"Hello." My mom says, shaking his hand.
"Ms.Miller." He says with a smile.
"This is my daughter." She says, placing her hand on my back.
"Not anymore." I growl to myself.
"Hello Charlie." He says.
I give him a fake smile, "Let's get this over with."
"Okay, so we'll have her change and she'll be put into her room. These things take time so she'll adjust slowly." The man says.
I walk away and sit in a chair. My mom continues to speak with the man for a while. I play with the ring on my finger while waiting.
"Charlie." She calls.
I get up and walk back over to them, "What?"
"It's time." He says.
"I don't think you're aloud to have souvenirs." My mom calls, looking at my hand.
"That's okay Ms. Miller." He says.
"Yeah Ms. Miller, it's not like it's a weapon." I glare.
"I love you." She says.
I ignore her and walk with the man, we walk for a while before stopping in front of a door.
"Here you are Charlie." He says, opening the door.
"Thanks." I sigh.
"There's library time and you'll have meals sent, call time will be assigned." He says.
I take a look at the small blue mat that sits on a medal frame. It's actually prison.
"Thanks so much for the room and information mister." I say sarcastically.
"It's Mr. Marshall." He says.
"Okay, guess I'd better be left alone now." I say.
He nods and walks away. I sit on the "bed" and lean against the wall. I just have to survive for a little while. There's a knock at the door making me jump, I open it to a man in a suit.
"There's a call for you." He says. Already?
I nod and follow him to a phone booth.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Hey, Oh my god, are you okay?" Cat's voice asks.
"Yes." I sigh, "Just fine."
"I'll call everyday." She says, making me smile.
"I love you." I laugh.
"I know." She teases.
"So far I know there's a library and my bed sucks." I say.
"I know you'll get through it." She says.
"Thanks, where's Madi?" I ask.
"I don't know" She says, "She hasn't been around since you left."
"Oh." I sigh, "That's okay."
"I want you to rest so I'll talk to you tomorrow." She says.
"Okay." I say.
The phone rings making me know she hung up. I hang the phone on the holder and walk back to my room. This is fun.
